Day 24

Thanks to the weather causing intermittent power (and internet) outages the day may not go as planned, but needless to say the HDS flashlight is getting a lot of use.  The phone is working as a hotspot. Yeoman did helped with cutting some dog treats, opening a package and the ever important last beer of the 12 Days of IPAs.  I specifically saved this one for last, as my birthday beer.
(Image removed from quote.)
Today is your birthday?

If yes, Happy Birthday Sherry! :-D

Yes, it is.  Hopefully the power stays on long enough for my wife to finish my birthday dinner of Mahi and Coconut Shrimp while watching “Santa’s Slay” (Christmas Eve tradition)

No uses for the EDC today. A quiet day, but in a good way.

Day 25

Merry Christmas!

My brother was modifying a sand trolley, and my Tin of Screws and Bolts was able to contribute two screws. :)

And I tightened his ST300's pivots.

McStitchy, Vise Grips are cool but  I hope you also bought the bulb you needed.  Happy birthday Sherry I hope you enjoyed your day.
Day 24
I'm a couple of hours late but I was busy with family stuff until just a little while ago. Anyway, here's a shot of my Mountaineer, Sidekick, phone, notepad and pen.  Have extensively used all in the last two days.  Used the maps app on the phone to find a couple of places on Wednesday.  Much easier than the local Street Finder Atlas I used to rely on.

And here I am, sitting on the sofa with my very first coffee of the day, still not awake, junior and the missus talking to me nonstop at the same time, while I'm trying to read through the last comments here  ::)
I envy you  :D

Changed it already... after I played with the tiny Vise Grip a little  :salute:

Map apps are great. How could we ever find things 10 years back?

Day 24
Yesterday one of the stop/break lights of our car died. So I've got to it first thing after breakfast today, before all shops are closed for holidays.

I've used the flashlight to check what type of screw needs undoing...

(Image removed from quote.)

My EDC doesn't include a Torx screw driver so I had to get some help from the kitchen drawer...

(Image removed from quote.)

After extracting the faulty bulb the Swisscards magnifier was used to find out what type of bulb I have to buy...

(Image removed from quote.)

... and the good old Fisher pen made a note of it then...

(Image removed from quote.)

The local car parts shop had a replacement bulb for cheap  :tu:
And the Spirit helped to free it from the packaging...

(Image removed from quote.)

Edit: Looks like I've got distracted in the shop while looking for a replacement bulb  :dunno:
Ain't that the story everytime I visit a hardware store!

Day 24

Ranger to open 2 cans.
Good to remember how much I like the combo tool for this task.

And...

Merry Christmas(Image removed from quote.)

Enviado de meu moto g(6) usando o Tapatalk

I know some may think it is silly or wrong, but if you do like the combo tool for can opening, maybe to try opening the can clockwise, instead of counter-clockwise with the regular can opener?  Though doing it counter-clockwise may be slightly faster and make more sense, but I felt the clockwise motion is more 'precise' and it opens like a combo tool.

Must be somewhat inconvenient on holiday season, but hope it won't dampen the spirit too much and you'd have a good time with the family.

Oh, one more thing--Happy Birthday! :tu:

Merry Christmas y'awl.

Day 25
The mountaineer with my morning paper and coffee. I really wanted to share that picture from today's front page of the Christmas tree at the beach on Los Olas surrounded by the palm trees. The caption says it is going to be 60 degrees (15.556 C) today. Laugh if you must, but that is very nearly parka weather for me. Well, at least a sweater.>:D

I didn't know "Angels with even filthier souls" was actually a fake film within home alone, until very recently.  But man, that was iconic! :D

Ate at Parent's home and was having a good time hanging out with family, we end up having homemade Korean BBQ beef for dinner.  Mountaineer didn't do any heavy lifting in the food prep, but the beef turn out to be slightly chewier that usual, so it did help to slice down in bite sizes.
