… if temperature stays below -25 celsius for longer times…

-25 Celsius you say  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
Last night it was about 18 here, was thinking to myself, bit nippy tonight
(It is the middle of summer so wouldn’t think that in winter)
Even then in winter the coldest here is about 5 and that’s pretty rare, we think 10 is freezing, we have no idea!

I think  a glass should not hurt recovery too much as long I keep other ingridiens (rest, antioxitants, vitamins and fuel) on the track and do not forget that DL day is coming up

Day 27

Bailout attended snack duty.  Through out the use of this month, I have came to the conclusion that this BM knife is not the most ideal candidate for EDC candidate.  I will write more about it in next following days.

Just got a new game for my Nintendo Switch, looking forward to play it with friends sometime next year, when this pandemic is over.

Buffs are nice.  I was recently looking at possibly getting a wool or thermal one for colder weather seeing that my cold weather neck gaiter disappeared.  I saw that they now make hinged balaclavas and ordered one of those.

I also have one of the wool ones, but only wear it when it is really cold. Think -15C and below. They are so warm, i start sweating otherwise  :ahhh

It really depends on a few factors.  Because where we live the water pipes aren’t that deep they tend to freeze quicker/easier than other places I have lived.  It also depends on whether it has been and stayed cold for a couple days.  If it is warmer during the day and just drops below freezing at night, then it usually isn’t a concern.  If it stays at or below freezing for extended periods of time then they could freeze after just 1-2 hours of non-use.
I think that typical freeze points are where the main pipe enters the house and/or go thru inner walls (if pulled under floors in the old fashion way). For the 1st type of a prob. there are heating elements that go into the pipe and can be plugged in when needed (we have one and it gets plugged in if temperature stays below -25 celsius for longer times. Also a guick warming, say 10 or more decrees in a day has a tendency 'to drive the cold indoors' as old folks say).
If indoor pipes are under floors without plum work letting some of faucets drip might be the only solution. Of cource, should there be no snow  everything freezes easier.

I have not seen any with fans in it recently. I've tried to avoid them from the beginning.
For the normal replacements, all cheeper ones I've bought are fine  :dunno:
That's cool, I think the tech must have improved since then, I remembered anything that's had similar brightness to a 25-30w incan bulb always needed a fan in the led bulb to prevent overheating.

Talking about Buff balaclava, I saw this on youtube and thought that's pretty cool use.

The Spirit had some action with putting the handle back on the previous leaking faucet that the Spirit fixed earlier in the month.  Originally I hadn’t put the handle on for easier monitoring for leak, then it wasn’t a priority because cold water isn’t used much in the kitchen.  Now the below freezing temps mean we may need to drip the water to prevent pipes from freezing, so the handle is more convenient.

Nice work. I know you guys have been having some unusually cool weather. We've been rather warm.  :dunno:

If ours freezes, it will be where it enters the house from an attached utility closet.  We have tried insulation and even the wrap-around heating elements, but dripping seems to be the only thing that works.
Hope you're not getting pipes frozen  :salute:
Good for now.  Plus it has warmed up more than it was suppose to so that is also nice.

Day 27
Used the small blade of the Vic. Executive to cut some duct tape patches for my helmet cover.
And the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 was used to find the Solvent spray in the shed.
I don't like sticky tape residue on me blades  :P

DAY 27

Rubbish day here today. We don't have a climate, just weather  :dunno:

I decided it was best to stay safe in "Casa de Surge" and the FX and Welsh Gold were willing partners  :D

Finished my leather project from earlier.  Need to hit it up with some Leather lotion.  Not perfect but I don't do these often enough.

Day 27
MP400 with bit holder and PH#0 was used to remove the batteries of a moving Santa toy. The dogs love when they get to bark and play with that during christmas time. Supervised only of course, we don’t want them to get to the batteries.

Pliers got used to unwind some wire I had used to secure a porch decoration.

Day 27.

A good rainy day. Good to take some naps..

Later the Dime's package opener was used to remove the seal of some motor oil bottles.
I did a change of oil of my older VW.

Day 28

No proper uses so far today but here’s the bantam hanging out on my bush walk this morning.

One of those days when I was glad I decided at the start not to carry too much, all fits in pocket and on belt fine without weighing me down or being too obvious
