Great kit!  :like: We share lots of items, too. :D I miss a lightweight edc bag. ::) I'll probably remove some redundant items from mine after the challenge is over.
I love that olive drab green! I wanted an olive drab Maxpedition, but they were sold out. And that bag is just sweet!
Thanks we do, was thinking that when you posted and then kept thinking, oh that’s a good idea maybe I should add one of those haha

Yeah I really like the olive green too, I’ve got a few maxpedition pieces in it - pictured with mini for reference

Neatfreak bag (which they’ve stopped making, shame as it’s very good), which is what I’d have used if waist bag was too small and fatty pocket organizer which has my bush walking kit

I’ve got a few spare button compasses RP, more than happy to give you one mate. They’re just sitting in a box so would be better being used by someone. Think I’ll have to go to the post office during the week so PM me you’re address if keen

It's true? :ahhh

That was my initial intention too but then I was told these are supposed to be the only things you use for the entire 30 days  :dunno: that’s when my innate EDCer kicked in and thought I’d better prepare for the zombie apocalypse :pok:
Seems a bit OTT for a trip to the supermarket but out on a bush walk, good choice

Anyway I’ve got it all so may as well have some fun!

Definitely have fun!  The challenge is designed for you to test out an EDC plan.

Now....the point is to design, carry, and use your EDC. Test out an EDC kit for 30 days. However, tools and equipment for work or duty or school are perfectly acceptable. If you get a sudden craving for a frozen margarita or piña colada, feel free to whip out the kitchen blender. Flat tire?  DO NOT rig up some redneck lift using a widgy bar and 550 cord, DO use you car's tire jack and lug wrench.

Remember, MTo is awl about safety and legality. Don't do nothing too stoopid or too illegal....unless you have good health insurance, deep pockets, and a good lawyer.

If you find that you need a pair of lock jaw pliers....and you left those out of your EDC...grab a pair out of the workshop or garage and use 'em. In that case....please do let us know that your EDC kit fell short and whether or not the omission might corrected in future kits. (Or the EDC in DEC '21 Challenge  :D ).  :tu:

So, as others are putting the effort in (thinking about stuff) I thought I'd better get my s#*t together

So far, my first attempt is as follows, and in no particular order of preference;

1) FX (not used enough, various challenges)
2) LM Squirt (rarely used)
3) Griffin Pocket Tool (see 2)
4) Fenix E01*(see 3)
5) Key Wallet* (includes Swiss+Tech Utili-Key & True Utility Trolly Dolly)

Not Pictured

6) Phone
7) Wallet type thing (think Badge Holder, if you're across the pond, or Warrant Card Holder if not  :dunno: )

Also various masks & COVID stuff etc.

I've tried to stick with pocket stuff as I live in an urban town centre and, if I'm going to carry stuff I need here, then it's highly unlikely that I'll need a full size MT for daily use  (also UK blade rules apply  )

It's a work in progress so items are subject to change (and contents may settle in transit  ) Therefore, I may swap out the Squirt for my Mini or (J)PST to have the option of decent size pliers. Thoughts  :dunno:

* The only things that I can take into work, but I have a SureFire, Surge (and tool room) to use

It's a start, my mission in this challenge is to push everyone to bag carry, Waitrose Warriors included

Are you suuuure you only need the E01? I mean the Aussies have the excuse that they're in  summer, but we're in the dark days of the 2020 apocalypse, you might be stranded in pitch black for weeks  :ahhh

On carrying a bigger tool, do you wear a belt? I have these elasticated sleeves that go on my belts, they hold tools within the profile of the belt itself and close to you with little printing. I easily carried a ZT 0452CF that way *

*Entirely on my own or otherwise private property and certainly not during your work hours

There's also strong demand in the forum (behind closed doors and all that) for a dark version of that pick so that we can see the GitD fobs in all their glory  :gimme:
Check out my Youtube channel  for gear reviews, comparisons, and carry philosophy.

I do wear a belt but as M&S is just 30s away I'm unlikely to need anything more than a SAK  :dunno:

to be fair everything I encounter on a normal basis would be solvable with a Farmer X, a metal file (hint, in 8 years Vic might actually make this model as well) and a  PH0 screwdriver with a shaft that is a bit longer than the one on the Vic can opener. but that last one falls under additional tools clause and that is what I have 2 separate screwdriver sets in my office desk

I am mostly settle on what will be carried, but I’m still contemplating a couple items.

I do think the OHO Spirit will probably make the cut because it seems only right that it gets put through its paces.  With that decision then comes the decision of what it gets paired with?  A small traditional knife or an Executive or other SAK.

Either way, to the disappointment of GearedForwards, there will not be a need for a bag.

The Spirit would seem to give you the freedom to chose something smallish and pocket friendly. Since you are a scissors fan.....the Exec makes sense....or a Classic.... :pok:....on the other hand, small Trads are a joy to carry, handle, and use.  :dunno:

Which is exactly the reason I haven’t decided yet.  You are right with the Exec being the most obvious choice based on my scissor preference, but as you state trads just feel so nice.  I’m thinking the Canoe might win out.

Then the other dilemma is if I add a Zippo and if so which one.  It isn’t like I’ll probably need it because I usually have a clipper mini in my organizer. But I do like to fidget with them and they don’t draw as much attention as a flipper knife.
