Ah.... whatever... I'm in!  :salute:
Sounds like fun... if I understood the rules correctly  :dunno:

I've just put together a pair of pocket-caddies and got a new single AA/14500 flashlight to fit in to together with a Spirit, Wave... ? I'll see about that.
I'll have to decide on the rest of my EDC as well

Stitchy, who's the bawbag in your avatar?

A character of the series "The Umbrella Academy" that I found very entertaining.
I've changed the crest on his jacket to "something else" though  ;)

 :hatsoff:

...btw... I've done some testing today and do feel the extra 30 grams (compared to the Spirit X) of the Wave in my pocket.
So I'm leaning towards the Spirit.
On the other hand Sos sent the BO Wave on its way already and it should be here before the challenge starts

Oh come on... why are you doing this to me?  :ahhh

I've done some research and the XBS appears to be BO from what I see. For example here:

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,69116.msg1384626.html#msg1384626

The RS isn't though!?

To add another option, there is a one-hand-opening BO Spirit out now

https://www.military.sg/shop/home/2133-victorinox-swiss-tool-spirit-mxbs-australian-army.html

This could end up as the SAK carried in my pouch.

That's an interesting iteration indeed  :tu:
I think for me personally though, the protruding knobs on the blades would disturb the overall haptic. But most importantly... I'd miss the finger-shredder wood saw  :D

And because it's Christmas soon I've hit the button on this

December is too far away!

I have been getting my edc in order. I've been going over my Maxpedition Micro, and have dropped items to make space for others. Still thinking about the final set.

Question: Once we start the challenge, we are locked with the same set, right?
I ask because most people who are into edc tend to swap items for others all the time. My Maxpedition pouch changes all the time, as items are dropped in favour of others, or simply adding items I did not have before, to see how useful they'll be.

For example, let's say I order new 4mm driver adapters, because the ones I was supposed to have for the challenge never arrived. Say the new ones arrive in December. Can I add them to my edc halfway through the challenge?
Can a member add a bit kit for their Wave they received during the challenge?
How strictly are we committed to the starting edc kit? I do not have the same edc I had a month ago. It evolves based on budget, needs, availability, space, weight, legality, and bacon.

The point of the challenge is to test one specifically designed EDC kit or set-up for a month.

Creating a new EDC kit everyday......that's just normal life.........not really a challenge.

So, this is strict. I was thinking about a two or three day grace period to allow for some last minute additions or deletions....but you could do that beforehand. So...NO! Develop your EDC before the challenge, use that EDC for the duration of the challenge. No additions, no deletions.

I suppose we could do an 'ADD EDC' challenge at some point, e.g. "come up with a new EDC kit every day...bonus point for losing some of your EDC during the day....try to post a photo...but feel free to get distracted...by...hey! Look!  A butterfly!"

Imagine that for this challenge you are an MTo agent being dropped behind non-tool-user lines. Your mission is to get by and blend in, posting intel in the form of a photo back to the agency (call-sign: Enabler-6), on a daily basis. There will be no resupply. You are on your own. You'll have to move fast and not get caught. If caught....deny awl knowledge of MTo.  What will you pack?   Think carefully, 'cuz that's awl you'll have.......  :salute:
