I have heard of 5Cr15mov steel, which often regards as a budge steel.  But 50Cr? :o   Is that a misprint?

Your collection of miniature cars never cease to amaze, cool! :like:

It is a German steel

https://knifeuser.com/x50crmov15-steel-review/

I am not going to give away anything, but I assure you it will be a roller coaster ride up ahead.  Avoid watching any youtube regarding TWD at all cost, they are full of spoliers.

I only watched Forged in Fire on and off, but I do prefer the Knife or Death a little more.  Many of the participants are either knife enthusiast or practice some form of martial art, and the whole format is similar to the real blade sport so that's exciting to watch.

Nice pix! :like:
I also am a fan of Knife or Death.  I like see both the style of blades people choose and how well they wield them.

That Chevy utility truck reminds me of the old "Emergency" TV series.

Squad 51 calling Rampart!
I remember that show.  It usually makes me think of my Dad when I was a little kid.  He worked the evening shift so he always got home after I went to bed and then would watch TV to unwind.  Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night, if he was up, I would go climb in his lap and watch TV with him.  Two shows frequently on were Emergency and McCloud.

Good times I'm sure.

I remember watching a lot of Emergency and also Adam 12. Seems that back then I always wished there'd be a crossover episode.

So did I, and I had the official Matchbox size Squad and Engine 51.  Much later in life, I made some of the younger guys at my station watch Emergency.

You guys are so lucky.  I wanted one of those metal lunchboxes with something cool, but instead I got stuck with a brown tupperware lunchbox.  Tell me what elementary school kid wants a tupperware lunchbox, especially a brown one.

So did I, and I had the official Matchbox size Squad and Engine 51.  Much later in life, I made some of the younger guys at my station watch Emergency.

I have the original Engine 51; which was given to me by a fellow collector. Still haven't found Squad 51 from that era. Without shelling $150-200 out for each of the Code 3 versions of Squad and Engine 51, the LJN versions are about as best as one can do, and if you wait, can be had cheaply. Matchbox recently put out a Squad 51, as did Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels used Emergency Squad/Rescue Ranger (now known as Rapid Responder, which the latter Squad 51 replica was sold as) for TWO different Squad 51s, one in the 1990s, one 5-6 years back. Matchbox used the International Brush Truck for a "Squad 51" lettered truck in modern LACoFD markings late 2019-early 2020 (I bought mine from another collector last fall). Fire Eater and Rescue Ranger/Emergency Squad were both originally produced during the run of Emergency!. Fire Eater, until the '90s was lettered as "Engine 51" and Rescue Ranger "Squad 50"; so I think it's pretty darn obvious where their inspiration came from.

Back when we first got MeTV in my area, Emergency! and Adam 5 were probably the first shows I took interest in; then MacGyver (which did not last long on that network for some reason). About 2-3 years in, NBC bought it back for their own retro TV market, CoziTV, predominately carried on NBC owned and operated stations. It is only carried by two stations in my market. I live far enough away to where I can't get the channel over the air.  Neither Dish nor Comcast has ever offered the channel. I've been hoping they would put it up for streaming again on NBC's own Peacock. I've watched all the episodes and most of the specials. One of my projects is to make a Drug Box replica. The model was said to be an Old Pal PF-3300. There are dozens of Old Pal tackleboxes on eBay. But, zilch PF3300s. I can find models that look like it, but aren't that exact model.

Day 28 (with just 3 more to go)

Opening dinner for the dog.

I don't normally use a SAK to open a can, but was curious if grinding the hook blade into the can opener would impact its can opening ability. It might have been a little bit harder for the initial puncture, but the rest of the opening went fine.

Day 29

While researching different ways to attach a small fixed blade sideway onto my belt, I brought out an Izula II to play and used Wetols to detach the clip from the sheath and cut paracords for the handle.  Turns out the Izula II was designed to be used as a skeleton knife and the balance is just perfect without any scales.  The paracord wrap just give it a little better ergo without putting too much weight on it.

Oh!  Now that make perfect sense(how did I miss the X in the first place escape me), I did remember that still, kinda like the Vic steel which I do like a lot(for multitool) :tu:

That lunch box now probably cost a small fortunate on ebay. :D

Kinda of reminded me what happened the other week--I have an old bottle where the cork just went completely rotten, and a friend told me I could just stab it with a knife and tried to 'unscrew' it out.(of course, like murphy's law, it fail catastrophically).  But how do you guys rescue a broken/rotten cork from a bottle? :pok:

So did I, and I had the official Matchbox size Squad and Engine 51.  Much later in life, I made some of the younger guys at my station watch Emergency.
:D
