Folding Hunter Challenge,,, Day 10,,, 1995 Case Blackhorn

Whew,,,, it's hot and muggy in Louisiana this week. Not a whole lot a knife needs today. Slit open a few plastic bags of parts. Oh, and I did use it to cut a boudin link in half to share with a co-worker.

I agree too.
I have been using their electrical tools for 37+ years, so I am naturally drawn drawn to their MT and knives. Other than the TripSaver MT ($83), I find their stuff to be worth the price.

Folding Hunter Challenge Day 11,,,, 1995 Case Blackhorn

"Hotel Life"

Well this morning I decided to take this picture, just in case no other opportunities came up today. When I got to the jobsite I realized I had forgotten to grab it,, so it was sitting just like this when I got back to the hotel.

^^  Glad the hotel maid was honest!

Day 11

Late production Uncle Henry LB7 aids in dismantling an old washing machine. And I just gotta say, my Buck 110 would not have survived that without another notch in the blade. at minimum!
That's why I like my Schrades, even the current production. In fact, after using this one hard for a couple years, I bought a brand new one just like it when I saw them on sale at Midway. I haven't even used that one; I basically bought it because Schrade no longer has the "free replacement if you lose it" warranty.

Day 11

Case 65 pattern Folding Hunter

I gave the blade a good wipe down today after its vinegar bath last week.  The color lightened considerably, but the patina that is left seems like it won’t easily wipe off.

Day 12

Late Uncle Henry LB7 opens a box of bicycle parts. This was a cut-down and stapled together box, so I had to cut through some heavy cardboard to get it open.

Day 12 (Late)
My day 12 picture of the Ka-Bar 3189 turned out to be the same as GA1Dad's day 11 picture.  Purely a coincidence, because I haven't had internet access since Wednesday night because my hotel didn't have working Wi-Fi.  I managed to put the Ka-Bar back in my pocket before I went about my day though.  I just got home and I'll post my day 13 picture a bit later after I have a chance to unpack.

Day 13
Having yesterday's leftovers for supper tonight.  This was actually planned because I knew I wouldn't want to cook anything after 4 hours on the road.  Didn't have use for the Ka-Bar 3189 since the ribs were already cut apart, but it made an appearance for the sake of the picture.
