First work knife my Dad gave me.
A great first work knife! :tu:

I didn't know there where any Channellock branded knives with blue covers. Are they Channellock blue?
The photos I've seen show them as being similar to (Richard) Petty blue. They do pop up on eBay from time to time...and awlways get away from me.

Visited son at hospital...
Hope he's fully recovered and out of that place.

And, as usual, most excellent photos from awl!

Day 21

Another Opinel today, this time a No. 6 in sage green. I bought this one thinking the lanyard might make it easier to pull out of a pocket. As it turns out, Opinels don't submarine through the annoying little pass-through. The lanyard has a tendency to take a shape, so I may replace it with some paracord of similar thickness.

Gareth, did a search on  Warkworth Castle it has quite a history. What I really want to know is this. Did you wear a kilt and a sword on your visit to the castle?    :D

No, I was in disguise.

@Farmer X , thank you for the good thoughts, but, no he is still in the hospital and will be heading up to visit this morning.  Infection is serious, know it is bacterial yet not sure how it was introduced.  Every effort now is to prevent from it settling in heart tissue!!!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 22 -  A SOD BURSTER type of day!

I grabbed mine to use this morning early to trim the dead bloom stems from the geraniums before the sun got to high in the sky.

I'm not a big fan of blade engravings, but I really like this one.  Cool knife  :tu:   :like:

Day 22

I'm carrying my Case Canoe again, so instead of just posting another pic of it, I'm going to include another knife that belonged to my grandfather.   This is the "youngest" of the 4 knives of his I have.  It's a Frontier Imperial-Schrade 4434 made sometime between 1976 and 1984.  Based on his life and the used condition of the knife, it is almost certainly from one of the first years.  This is also the only knife of his that I cleaned up - there's some before and after pics somewhere in this forum.

Here it is next to my Case Canoe

Edit - I found the "before" pic:

I used the Kershaw Culpepper to harvest a couple of pineapples.  I've been growing dozens of them for many years now and I rarely get any fruit.  When I do get fruit they are never any bigger than a softball.  Maybe I should water and fertilize them since generally ignoring them doesn't do much for production.

  ... they do look tasty though

... looking up Kershaw Culpepper
