Day 9.

Challenge nightmare.
Already in bed at 10.30pm, a sudden flash in my head. I forgot to post.

 :ahhh :ahhh

Switching on the light, working the way to my clothes, unclipping the knife for a quick pic.

Been testing the PST today. A short knife, bladelenght almost the same as a peanut (might do a comparing shot tomorrow.
This limits its capability in my eyes, wished I had chosen something larger.

Now I can rest again. Forgive my
crappy pic. There will be more "wake" moments, I promise.

A sudden flash going off in your head might have been a stroke or an aneurism.  Better it was just a forgotten challenge picture.  It looks perfect to me. :dd:  Who made it?

Day 9

I too, almost forgot today. No uses, so here's a lazy pic. Hard to find a decent place to even take a pic living in a hotel for a week. Should have something more fun tomorrow.

Day 09 (Gummy Bear Round):

The scissors on the Leatherman Juice are not bad. Opened up a resupply package of ground Chipotle pepper.

Day 07

It's nice to have access to one of my go-to EDC set ups in a challenge:

(Image removed from quote.)
Agree.  After a couple months of Challenges with the small SAKs. I wasn’t sure about what I would have for this one, but I am happy to have a couple regulars.

I take it I’m the only barbarian here who thinks instant coffee is just fine

I wouldn’t call you a barbarian, and in the Navy I had some stuff that makes instant seem gourmet.

Then I had an Assistant Ops who was a coffee connoisseur and brought his own coffeemaker and coffee on deployments.  He would frequently show up at my door for our morning meeting with an extra cup for me.  I learned to really appreciate good coffee, especially when I have time to really sit and enjoy it.

No, you're just too young to know  :dunno:

Day 9

The Voyageur cut open a special pouch of food for Fisher

Day 9 into 10
I got a new patch today that needed some hook backing so I could put it on my favorite sling bag, so the Spirit did the cutting.  I then decided while I was at it to change out the strap like I’ve been meaning to.  Used the Spirit file (metal saw) to cut a couple gatekeeper clips for sliding onto webbing strap.

[I realize I am probably showing my age, but 2 of my favorite 80s movies combined into one patch]

Very generous of LoopCutter to provide you with one of the best EDC fixies made to start you off.  I love mine.  Just hated the plastic sheath.  The Isula II fits perfectly in the horizontal carry leather sheath made for the Bradford Guardian and you can order one from Bradford for $10 in brown or black  and for right or left handed use.  Highly recommended.

Day 10:
Alpini boots and Arditi in the snow:

I tested the sometimes mentioned knife-in-boot-carry during mornings dog walk thru some snowy fields.
It seems to work, but I’m not really seeing benefits. Normal belt, backpack strap or tactical vest carry seem preferable to me

Day 10

After yesterdays obliviousness todays report is before bedtime.

Deluxe Tinker as always.
Does the job, isnt fancy, but I miss a little variety, especially my traditionals.

Maybe I get some more luck in the next draw, who knows.
