The classic alox main blade did some trimming on a golden crocodile philodendron plant.

Day 3

(Image removed from quote.)

Some mysterious packages arrived at the Glenfiddich residence. In fact they were so mysterious that Special Agent SAK from the DEA wanted to take a look at them first.

(Image removed from quote.)

(Image removed from quote.)

When the suspicious white substance was cleared, the Special Agent released the packages and the content turned out to be some Swiss made military hardware that was meant for the Dutch army  :salute:

(Image removed from quote.)

Don't tell anyone!  :dwts:

Very nice

Day 3

Classically busy today between opening up a package of paper towels (like a non-neanderthal) and opening up a package.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

DAY 4

Thought I would be more gentle with the classic today, so a hot bath to remove the gypsum.

After that, not having a keyring on my classic, I needed a way to carry it, so it was put to work making a simple leather belt sheath. Added a fire steel section for a task later this week....

Day 4

I will travel for upcoming 3 days so decided to carry Swiss Lite - Classic with a led light, which I find very suitable for travel.
I just replaced the original tweezers with toothpick.

I never really noticed until now that Gra has been using a Bijou to do all the roofing and drywall.  That is tough duty for a Bijou, which is the female of the Classic species.  Might be risky to put them both in the same tight-fitting pouch.  Sparks may fly.
So far I have used all the primary weapons of the Classic.  Knife, file, screwdriver, and scissors.  Little piddly uses.  No carpentry or boat building.  Yet.  This photo shows blue Classic doing mess duty.  Have to be a little careful poking Vienna Sausages into your mouf with a knife blade.  Best wishes.  G

Wife got finished slicing banana before I got the camera out.  The slices went onto our oatmeal and homemade yogurt breakfast.  Not nearly as tough as drywall, but, much tastier.

No ring mount on the Bijou.  Made for pocket or purse carry.  I like your new avatar.  Spruces up your posts a lot.  Would you care to tell us something about the fixed blade in the photo?  Best wishes.  G

It's a esee candiru, a fantastic pocket work horse, but in the UK where everything is illegal, the smaller you go the less frightening it is.

I am a bit of an outdoors person so always carry tools, thus just carrying the classic is such a challenge

That's a nice size for a carry fixed blade.  Looks like you have been using it a lot.  I never really carried a fixed blade every day.  If I did, it would be a small one.  It is good to have you on the site.  Best wishes.  G

Day 4

I've gotten most of my Classics dug out for this.

This one is a 1990s-era Signature. The best I can tell, the company advertised is no longer in business.

Used it to peel an orange and trim fingernails.

The pen is the older removable type. Great as you can swap the toothpick for it, but not great for actually writing (provided, I have used this one more than once--for a long time, it's all I carried around the house). Does Vic still sell removable 58mm pens?

However, I admit to doing most of my cutting with a Kershaw Delly Wade Officer I grabbed off my nightstand this morning. Small (3 1/4" closed with a 2 3/8" blade), but robust. Only problem is the rubber grip. Kershaw made this one for MANY years (1989-2010, I think), but no longer has the parts. Kershaw fixed a messy edge on it for me, but told me the only option for fixing the loose grip was gluing it back on, something I intend to do once I find the right adhesive.

It was a busy day to put it mildly.

First, I needed assistance with sustenance.  Then I had to hurriedly open the sweetener for my hot cup of liquid energy.

Later on in the evening, the wife needed assistance opening a bottle with a foul smelling liquid inside.  And finally, the pièce de résistance, helping cut a restraint off this dinglehopper.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

DAY 5

It has been crazy windy here overnight, and with all the rain over the last few weeks the classic decided to help with the washing, opening packaging. The leatherman stache came to help...well now that I have been told that my classic is a female, she needed gentleman assistance.

After the domestics was done, time to sit down and have breakfast, before finding out just how many trees are down and if a chainsaw or bow saw is the tool of the morning to get out of the driveway and off to work?

Alas, no, until you find some old stock in a dusty cabinet from a long forgotten shop...  8)

First appearance of Bijou, I think.  Sliced open a bag of oatmeal.  A resealable bag would have been nice.  It must have been cold outside.  All the raccoons have been wearing their fur coats.  Best wishes.  Gary

DAY 4  Posting a day late.  We had a health scare with Pete the dog, which preoccupied us.  Fortunately, all the news from the vet is good.  Here's Pete with a red Classic Wounded Warrior.
