Day 8

I have to travel today.  110 will be further inserted into its pouch and ride in the console.  Not much action, but a bunch of miles.

That is not MURDER!   About the same depth I experienced when I slip and cut a finger!!!  Just back out slowly and add a bandaid.
It even hurts when I try to picture it in my head!

A pear? So, double homicide?
It took me a second or two before I got it. Nice one  :D

I have cut myself more than once with a 112 and a 110. The blades are so sharp, I never felt the crime. Only knew afterwards by the trsil of blood and feeling ever so faint.

Buck 110 with a few other things being carried today. Flashlight is a Thrunite Saber, and then an MP600 multitool.

Is paperstone a type of paper micarta?

Someone already answered you but yes it is. I like it, but I will say it will chip more than micarta does, especially if you drop it. But it is more uniform in texture than normal micarta.

Opened up one of these “water flavor enhancer” bottles. I’ve really been quite fond of these even though they’re probably full of chemicals  ::)

Day 7;

Opened the seal on the coffee.

Coffeemaker broke a few years ago, and for at least a couple of years, a hand-me-down electric percolator had been used instead. Never liked it. Earlier this year, I found an old ('30s) Drip-O-Lator for $20 at a local antique store. No moving parts, no heating elements, and no glass. It's easy to use (and clean, especially) and needs no filters.

Day 8. Opened an eBay lot. The 110 has a broken tip--however, the Vic Traveler, Case Jack (also tipped, but still decent), Colonial Mountain Guide, and Robeson fob knife are all in decent shape.

Mail hadn't run Monday (package scheduled for then) due to the weather. Had a FedEx package scheduled for last Saturday that ran into the same problem.   Looks like the USPS was able to deliver Monday's mail today. According to my Informed Delivery, the post office hasn't been receiving any mail since Tuesday.

Driving the quarter-mile to the mailbox was an adventure to say the least.

Looks next week I'm sending the 110 and 112 off to Buck to get new blades.

Glad your mail adventure was worthwhile, Cody.

Day 8

Showed my friend at work the 110 earlier this week, and he said he had a similar knife that needed sharpened.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Pretty dull and grimy, but it sharpened up easy (touched up the 110 as well. The 420 may not hold an edge as well as some steels, but it sure does sharpen back up well).

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Looks a bit bigger than the 110 (even accounting for mine being retipped.)

I think it's probably made by Camillus, late 80s or early 90s. Found a catalog page, and it is listed as 4 15/16s instead of 4 7/8s like the 110. Gotta market that extra 16th of an inch I guess.
