Day 11:
Checked a bunch of tasks off of the honey-do list. Had the 110 Slim Select in the pocket along with the 055. Used the 055 to dig a deep sliver out. Didn't snap a pic because it was big enough that I didn't want to delay in the relief of removal. 🤣 Used the 110 for a few random things like opening a bag or two. Worst part of the day was the loose thumb stud on the 110 relieving it's self of it's duty. No more one hand opening until I can get some better drill bits to drill the hole out to fit a spare Benchmade thumb stud I've got.

Such a shame
Day 12

(Image removed from quote.)
Nice pic
Day 12

Switching over to the SwissBuck Taskmate I for the next 3 days.  Removing some tags from a new hoodie.

(Image removed from quote.)
Nice SwissBuck.  Hoodie looks warm
Day 12: another boring photo. The 112 slim pro has become the go to for this challenge. It’s hard to beat.  [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
I can see where the 112 slim pro would be a favorite

Day 13

110 cutting some lasagna.  It was fun.  Did avoid contacting the porcelain dish with the sharp edge.

Buck 321, Bird knife!

I have always looked at Buck knives as knives for the working man, to hunt, construct, ranch or farm.

No fancy colors handles, faddish blade shapes., is what I observed growing up. Take it or leave type brand!  A status symbol that was not fancy.

Now in the last several years the sales climate has changed, collectors buy the fancy and now drive the offerings. Just my observation.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 13

All day work in the office. I was afraid that I wouldn’t have any use of knife but the preparation of the dinner saved the day.

Day 13

Digging in the tool box, my brother has a bad brake master cylinder, put a new one in, and it's faulty.  so now we have to take it out and go get another one.

:like: I've always loved those bird knives. But I don't hunt bird so I have no idea what I would use one for.

Day 13.

Went to my local knife store to buy a leather sheath. I have leather for my 110s, but not for my 112s--and the nylon doesn't sit well on my belt. Used to use an open-top sheath Moore Maker supplies with their Jumbo Trappers, but wanted the official Buck.

A Mora Companion SRT (Rescue) and a display case (which I wanted to repurpose for diecast) followed me home also.

The SRT I bought as a twine/rope knife to replace a Dexter Sani-Safe net knife. I can carry the Mora on the side button of my overalls, and I like the Companion handle. Just learned Mora made a rescue version with a blunt tip--would've worked better in my use.

No use today, just a glamor shot with the magnet that Comis made.

Seems he hasn’t signed on since last fall. Anyone heard from him?

Day Thirteen of Buck

Drove a lot today across Texas and Louisiana.  Surge and Buck slim in the backpack today. Used the Buck to open some Tylenol as I got a too much sun headache. Cloudy rainy days are beautiful for this ginger.

Day 14
This was today's lunch. Some extra creamy brie cheese, some chilled grapes, and the Buck 113.  I did not eat the Buck 113.

Buck Burl Wood

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

A 371 and 373, both done with Burl Wood covers.
These both sport a back spring for each blade. And the Spey Blade and Wharncliffe blades are  mounted in reverse to many US built  Stockmans.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I’m of the opinion that it’s usually not a problem to do small blade stuff with a big blade, but it’s more difficult to do big blade stuff with a small blade.

I've always meant to buy one of those to try one.

Day 14

Touching up the blade on the 110 today. This older ceramic knife sharpener does the job well. It doesn't work well for modern steels, but it works great for all the old classic steels.

Buck Challenge 2025
Day 14 of 30

Got home and I had received a package. Whipped out the 110 to breach the packaging and found the 442 that ElevenBlade was so gracious to send my way. Looking forward to working it into this challenge over the next couple of days. Thanks to you ElevenBlade! I will look for an opportunity to pay your generosity forward!
