Thanks that i still can Rejoin (maybe out of competition), allthough the DHL Tracking says the Package is just Reportet Electronical, so even though i still hope it will be in my Packettrawer until i drive home this afternoon so i can pick it up today, the deal whit this Packet Trawer thing is that it have to lay on my Way and i want Drive only to pick it up .. ^^

I wonder how good the Victorinox Ratchet works, what i allready rode was that its works only in one way and you have to turn it to change the Screwing Direction ..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

Day 11

SK11 ultra thin ratchet and SK11 ultra stubby bits.
The Klein compliments this set beautifully as it can also drive these tiny bits.

I will get one of those one way or another.
Do you still have the packaging? Is it really 90 teeth? The Klein has the same head but it is 72 teeth.

I don't have the packaging, but I can take some pictures of the packaging the next time I see one in Home Depot.

It does say 90 teeth on the packaging.

DAY 11  MTs and pocket tools are not new.  Check out this old guy, with three screwdriver tips.  There was another version that had sockets.

Last night we went to Lowes, and while my wife was looking at plants, I went over to the tool section to have a look at ratchety things.  I found two things of interest.  First was that the new Craftsman ratchets have screws holding the front and back together,  the same as my old Proto, and not like my 25 year old Craftsman.  I wonder if there is a difference in durability.  I never use a ratchet for breaker bar work, so I doubt  I will break one.

The other thing I noticed was the price  :o  Not that it matters, as I've proven that I have plenty already.

Day 11:

Picked up a couple more of the 1/4” square drive to 1/4” bit adapters, one for each tool kit in our cars. I forgot about these ratchets a few days ago when I took a pic of my ratchet line up.

I have one like your other one with the exposed bits.  This new one you have is definitely way better.

I hope I don't go broke before this Challenge ends.   :ahhh

Edit:  your new one is $35.90 on Amazon Prime, which is about 2x what it costs everywhere else.   Amazon is my go-to toy dealer, but Home Depot is coming on strong with good pricing ($14.97) and free, next day delivery.

Pretty sure that one came from the HD (bought it back late last year) :D :salute:  and the price was similar :tu:

Day 11
Buried in my Jeep's toolbox is this little Husky 46pc I got on black friday to replace and or supplement an old Harbor Freight set (also pictured)

While I do carry a bunch of tools for all diffrent tasks; I don't carry a full mechanics set as nobody is shade tree/roadside fixing anything on a modern vehicle.
 :crash:

Edit: I just realized that bit driver is ratcheting too  :o

Most days when I end up using the ratcheting bit driver, it is usually to change out these replaceable plug-ends on power cords and extension cords.

Day 12

Not satisfied how it is installed by the worker:

1. the vertical edge was not straight.
2. no chamfer on the vertical edge, but the horizontal edges has non-uniform chamfer (and not straight either!)
3. used gap filler to "smooth" extensively, albeit poorly, and looks like alien goo.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
1.  Take it down with Leatherman ratchet and vessel 220
2. Scrap all the gap fillers
3.  With Makita cutter D-65713 (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,92585.msg2509610.html#msg2509610), adjust the edge to be more straight
4.  Tape sanding paper to tape stand to get a flat surface
5.  Use it to do the final straightening and get a rounded 45 chamfer
6.  Wrap sanding paper around a pencil to send the chamfer for the round corners
7.  Apply plastic wood to some surface that is marred deep
8.  Paint the wood and plastic wood
9.  Touch up the black with a marker
10.  Screw the thing back with the ratchet

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
Now it is less an eye sore as before.

Stanley 89-817 1/4" ratchet in CR-V steel with Craftsman bit driver adapter.  The adapter uses spring tension to retain the bit.

I just learned that those kind of adapters are a thing and now have three of that exact craftsman flavor. One for my primary tool kit and the other two are in our car tool kits. Seems like a pretty handy little thing.  :like:
