Between internet being in and out the past two days and having something come up that has sucked up a lot of time, I’ve a little late posting.

Day 24

Ruff Rida at the Food Lion.  There is no lion in the store.  I looked everywhere.  One of the funniest grocery store boo boos I ever saw was at a Food Lion in a neighboring county.
I stopped by the deli to see if I could find something for lunch.  A pretty girl was cleaning up the cooking area with a hose.  She turned on the water tap, and the handle on the hose was already engaged.  The hose started writhing around like a snake in a bad horror movie.  She grabbed for it and wound up spraying everything in sight as it whipped back and forth.  Finally she got hold of the nozzle, then just stood there with her mouth open.  Soaked and dripping.  One deep breath, then she just howled with laughter.
There wasn't a lion in that store either.  A lot of their store brand stuff is really good.  Try their blocks of cheddar cheese if you are ever in one.  Don't bother looking for the lion.
Best wishes.  G

Glad she was able to see the humor in it!

Day 24

Aside from the questionable decision to include the tiny fork (2D Phillips screwdriver would have been way more useful in its place), the what-the-smurf implement on the MKM Malga 6 is the awl.

It is sharp neither at the edge (which is flat) nor at the point.  It’s like a young child or alien saw a picture of an awl, and tried to design/build one from the picture, without any understanding of what the tool is actually used for or how it is supposed to function.

Do better, MKM.

Day 24

The one gripe with the Armbar that comes up in reviews is the lack of any sort of pocket clip.

There is a spot to attach a split ring, however. And that makes for an attachment point for a suspension clip if so desired.

Considering how atrociously bad the clip on my Armbar Scout is, I think lack of a pocket clip is an asset.

Day 24

The Curve was called upon to remove tags from a new garment. Military nomenclature for said garment is "Jacket, Fleece, Cold Weather (Gen III)."

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I'm thinking about slapping an MTo patch on the new jacket. And the Curve is going to see more action tomorrow.

Well, maybe my hands are just soft, but my biggest gripe with the Armbar is that if I grip it very firmly (e.g. to loosen a stubborn screw or really torque one down), it’s uncomfortable.  Seems especially egregious for a tool that is built around the bit driver.

I noticed that as well.  I also noticed that the scissors don’t cut very well and the saw was ok but short for the length of tool.

I was a little disappointed (both clip and saw) in the Scout as well

Day 24: Just a vanity pics :D
My father had a knife just like that which he allowed me to use the first time at Girl Scout camp.  When he came to pick me up, he asked me to show him what they taught me about safe knife handling.  After I showed him and gave him his knife, he gave me my first ever knife which was a Utica Girl Scout.  It might have to make an appearance.

They sounded too weird to pass on.  I like Sour Patch Kids watermelon, so thought why not.  They are strange.  The chili is the first flavor then comes the watermelon.

Day 25

I tried to get an apple peel that was all in one piece for a couple of days now.  Hasn't worked so far.  I'm not much into auguring, spells, or magic but I thought it might be interesting to see what happened.  Actually, this trick has no documentation as to its efficacy in finding one's true love when it is a male doing the peeling and dropping.  It might only work for a young girl.
I think I have a couple more apples on the back porch, so I haven't given up hope.  I used to make some kind of apple pie in a loaf pan, but forgot how to do it.  You would take your sliced fruit and mix up flour, butter, sugar, and I can't remember what all and pour the batter into a pan to bake.  Made a sort of pudding instead of a pie.  I also used to make butternut squash pie this time of year, but don't make a garden anymore which nixed the butternut supply.
Might as well show a photo with some local black-eyed peas.  I had some for lunch yestiddy, with more today.  I might make some of my tortillas to go along with them?  I can't make good tortillas.  They are not toxic, but I can't get them to puff up.  Plus, I don't have a press.  I think I will make some anyway if the masa brosa harina stuff hasn't gone bad.  I tried adding baking powder, but my supply was so old it lost its zip.
Best wishes.  G

It's a knife-based tool, has at least one implement that isn't a knife blade, and it's not a SAK, I'd say that qualifies.   :tu:

Day 25

Tonight trash and recycle bins go to the street.

Several card board boxes needed to be cut down, and the only knife in my pocket is my grey Ozark.

And just like a SAK it was sharp right up to the point it was not.   Tried a stropping, but no, the edge was requiring more grit.   Ten boxes, is the limit, and task was completed by my garage utility blade.

Picture is after, and the. Made edge returned to hair shaving (arm hair😉) sharp.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

This the most SAK-a-like knife steel I have, both this Grey and the RED OZARKs performed identical with exception of the scissors.

The Camillus crossout and Case Scout Jr both have better steel.   For the models that I enjoyed carrying so far.

I have resisted buying additional models 😯. But did catch myself looking yesterday at a Sportsman’s Warehouse. No Gerbers Armbar on the pegboard. So close..,
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
