Good one LC!

Thought/discussion question for all:  If you had the option to carry a 75 pattern Stockman or 75 pattern Moose, which would you carry and why?  (Assume same cost and materials of construction.)

I will chime in your question Nate J!

I will first say, I had no idea CASE made a Moose pattern, let alone a ‘75 pattern.

The handles on the moose and stockman appear identical!

I love your moose’s covers.  So stylish!

Since CASE is so entrenched with the TRAPPER, the MOOSE is redundant.

The MOOSE would be so much more functional with a Wharncliffe or Lambsfoot blade opposite of the Clip point.    I would jump on that with my eyes close😎

My Mediterranean Blue Stockman is my selected EDC, because I like the blue covers, the size is perfect for my XXL+ size hands, and I just like the versatility of the short Wharnie blade and the HD clip.  The Spey is useful, but a two blade would be OK as well just as BUCK did with a few BOTM Stockmans.

Another combo would be a MUSKRAT ‘75, large handle, two heavy duty clip points.  One a PE and other a combo!

Function is always the fancy of the owner, for me I like my ‘75 STOCKMAN!  I have a couple, yet the Med Blue is an EDC choice.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 08

The Rough Ryder Sunfish.  It is big and heavy.  You will notice it in your pocket. I wanted a sunfish / elephant toe for a long time, but I wanted a user, not a collection piece.  The Rough Ryder Select series seems higher quality than their standard options but is still reasonably priced and usable.

Day 8

I’m still carrying the Case Caliber.  It’s a cheap little knife, but I’m loving it.  It’s perfect for my need of a very lightweight office knife.  I’m going to miss it when I swap it with a different knife in a couple days.

Still plugging along with the little peanut. The more you carry it, the more you appreciate its diminutive size. They sure packed a lot of knife in this small package.

Imperial Frontier Trapper (Ireland) from the GAW box. Apparently it likes big lakes because it was spotted at Lake Michigan yesterday, Lake Superior today! It says Superior is much cleaner.  :salute:

Day 8

Case Moose cut the bottoms off of several empty water bottles to use as makeshift food and water bowls for some birds at the fair.

This sort of job is one of the reasons I prefer a fairly acute point on my knives.  Makes it easier to puncture things when needed.

Located my Tribal Lock I selected to join my tool set!  :woohoo:
(Was hiding in trouser pockets that I wore for travel to this assignment

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]    My morning Iced Coffee

At home I use KCups(pods), here brew a pot.  Yesterday’s left overs transferred to a large Yeti mug, and refrigerated.  Used this AM for Vanilla Iced Coffee :tu:

Stockman for me. I've never really warmed to the Moose pattern although I do have one by RR. But the Stockman is a longtime favorite of mine. I consider it the most versatile traditional folder; on par with if not even surpassing the Scout/Camp knife.

Stockman for me too 👍.  The addition of a sheepsfoot blade is worth the extra weight.

Last day with this knife… this morning it was great letter opener.  The factory edge is very sharp.

DAY 9-July 9 is a somber day for me.  My grandfather died thirty years ago, and fifteen years ago I was visiting a young Marine in Bethesda when he got word that his best friend had been KIA on this day.
