Let us know what it is like once you receive it. Hazet seems to like that shade of blue. Almost all their things have that color. Best wishes. Gary

The color is called Hellblau by the Germans. RAL 5012 is mentioned to be very close to this Hazet signature color.
I must admit that I do not own much Hazet tools, but quality used to be superb. My father, blacksmith and mechanic, had loads of different Hazet tools.

Looks like a Leatherman copy.
The awl, file, and Phillips look like Leatherman copies, but the openers seem more Gerber-like to me. I'll be interested to hear more about this once you get it in-hand.

It looks cool! I saw a surge clone for 9.99 usd last week on Amazon, then went back later to buy it & it was 19.99 doh!! I think brand was ZHG or something like that. I didn't get it. I have some Birbury Lthrmn clones that are doing great so far.

Hazet in the Cheap and Cheerful subforum? I knew something was wrong. Come on, Hazet. What are you doing putting your name on these?

I suppose we will discover more about the Hazet multi once our friend receives it. Looks like a Chinese tool just from the photos. So many big name tool companies have gone the off-shore route and ruined their reputations. Here in the US, DeWalt, Craftsman, Milwaukee, etc. They all fell for the cheap labor fast buck solution.
I was a little surprised to see the multi listed under the Cheap and Cheerful moniker. Maybe that is where it belongs? We will have to wait and see, I guess. Best wishes. Gary

Hazet's USA site listed only one retailer that I could see. They are in New Jersey, and the multi wasn't shown in their list of Hazet products. I'm guessing it isn't available through retail channels Stateside. The one price I was able to find was 15,565 Japanese Yen, which is $100.20 US as of this post.

That is way too much for that tool. That tool, minus the Hazet blue, is as low as $20 on Amazon. For $78 you can find Hazet tools that are actually made by Hazet in Germany. Like this:

It looks very similar (but fancier) to the Maximum tool I got a little while ago:
https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,94310.0.html
Another rebrand of the same tool?
The Maximum isn't bad, I have used it a few times now. All in all, for a cheap Chinese tool it it pretty good.

Received a small package from Rodin & Co last week.
Paid approx 50$ for the tool and 30$ each for the penlights.

The 14mm wrench seems a bit odd. Being a metric product from a German company I think this should have been 13mm.
Or what do you think?
Maybe it will fit a 9/16" nut with some luck. But not that often we stumble over components with imp bolts.

Fractional sizes are really very common here. Most mechanics have inch and metric tools. Schools have made a poor effort to teach metric measurements here, but the change has been very slow. Best wishes. G
