A couple of oldies but goodies!

A pair of Peter Herbst/Spyderco collaborations.

I am sitting here wondering what took me so long to buy a Delica. What a great little slicer.

Yea the Delica4 should be a mandatory blade in my opinion.  :tu:  :D

You went exotic on the steel! We will need a update in time on how it performs.  :2tu:

Sprint run right?

Yep it is the latest Sprint run.

Will let you know how it works out now that I can actually carry it.

So far I know it can take a sick edge. Sharpest factory edge I have ever owned.

Very thin blade grind. Reports are it is thinner then the other Delicas.

Oh forgot to add I love the handle color.

Great looking Delica Harley! I've considered getting one of these HAP40 but havent yet. Maybe later. I have a couple D4 waved that were flat ground by Tom Krein sveral years ago. They are slicing machines.     :D

This is a Bob Lum Chinese folder.Lum was a rare and unique man.He was credited with introducing the tanto style blade to the American knife market. This is his collaboration with Spyderco.Unfortunately Bob died a little over eight years ago but he left behind a body of work that will be admired for generations to come.

Congrats on the HAP40 Delica. I see it looks a lot like M4 in composition with lots of Cobalt that does some magic with the other elements. A better M4 is mind boggling.

So far it is easy to make super sharp but not a strong edge holder like M4 or CTS 204P.

Maybe because it is so thin?

The grind must be the difference there; I have an orange and grey flat ground D4 in VG10; close to the perfect EDC knives. I'll get a black one this year for less visible carry. The green ZDP one looks like it might give the Sage 1 a run for its money in EDC pocket time.

There  are some very nice Spydies presented here.

Here is another from the great Bob Lum and his collaboration with Spyderco. It is also his signature blade grind the tanto.

Funny camera angle has stretched things.

Its a sprint run re-release of the first ever Spyderco model, the one that started it all, the C-01 Worker.

The new version has the G10 scales and modern clip along with VG10 steel.
Its a very well made little knife; fit and finish is impeccable; the Japanese outdid themselves here.

A great little EDC knife; the hollow blade grind and profile make it quite workable for day to day light tasks.
At first I did not give it enough time as it was expensive but I'm really happy I got it and have started to carry it a lot. Its a sense of "knowing" and appreciating the original design even though it costs more than a PM2 or Military.

Simple carry for days in the office. Worker and Manager.

2nd from bottom.
