Flea market find of the day: Dutch Army Knife ==> Royal Army (KL89)
It was not in really good shape: The awl was badly beaten, the small screw driver on the can opener was bent and it is -still- hard to open (I suspect the Pin to be bent too), and the blade was dull, slightly bent and scratched.

- soaked in WD40 to be able to open the can opener
- tried to save the awl ("gently" hammered on a small anvil) it still in bad shape, but at least it can open/close without scratching the blade more than it already is.
- unbent the can opener tip (I can't do anything with the bent pin)
- unbent the blade edge, and sharpened it: it is now razor sharp.
- oiled everything

and here is the result:

Thank you :)
Considering its shape I'm not sure it was such a good deal for the 10€ I gave xD
But, as it is my first DAK and is older than I am,... worth it!

I was awfully lucky a few months ago as I spotted a DAK 91 on a second hand site, unused condition. Bidding started at €15, which I bidded immediatly.
seller mailed me I could come get it... only 20min drive from here.  :ahhh

When I got back home I received an e-mail from the site telling me someone outbidded me
Send it in for service? Then you'll have a nice one for €15 in total as well...

Great work guys. If we continue to all do our part, we may see the day when all SAKs have been collected. Until then the best we can do is try.

White Ambassador (screw scissors) with "SM" advert. I tried to look it up but didn't find it. I kind of like the look of it...might leave it on there.

After finding out one of my favourite games was now backwards compatible on the much disused xbone I went on a mission to find a copy. Several EB branches poor stock records later I was successful. This search by chance, put me near a knife shop, so strangely  ::) I had the urge to have a look. And what do you know, I spied something interesting on the top shelf buried behind the usual Victorinox offerings.
By no means a screaming deal, but I feel I had to get it, NIB and all.

I haven't been active in about a month so here are some of my latest. The red Hercules and black Centurion. The Hercules is great as a stand alone tool and the centurion is what I wear at work due to its slimmer profile.

I love my Hercules! Though I want a Workchamp.

But it does require a pouch or I keep it in my bag as a backup for anything that arises.

I'd like to get a Forester OH for camping and backpacking.

But of course the Classic will always be overshadowed by the Huntsman  :D
