Got one of those bargain Explorers last week, I also recently got some brass from Neil, I think a Woodsman will have to be my first mod attempt.

I found this older Spartan w/small clip blade in a bin of confiscated knives last week. Nice inlay of Yosemite National Park. I wonder how many other US national parks have had a SAK with their name inlaid?

You would figure national parks would be a natural for Swiss Army knifes, but in years of actively hunting for them I've only come up with two full-sized SAKs, both of them also for Yosemite. Smaller knives are only slightly better represented with four parks, one of them in Canada. None of these were picked up in the park in question. Instead all you'll find in parks nowadays is the usual cheap Chinese junk.

I would love to have Victorinox (or Wenger) do a series of national park knives, but several suggestions to the company have been ignored.

I like that Jasper Classic, I have a Pocket Pal with the same inlay.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

BSA "Huntsman", brand new. Metal inlay BSA logo, scissors with screw, pre-2005 main blade with thicker tang and old stamps, hook. So not too old but not too recent either. Spot on for what I personally like in 91mm size.

Surely that's a fieldmaster (Phillips driver instead of corkscrew).
My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

Note the "" around the "Huntsman". It's a special run for the Boy Scouts of America. You can read more about it here:

Enki_ck got it right.

Chip, see that and also see the name on the packaging in the photos that I posted (that is from the original packaging this knife came with in an old sealed clamshell). Victorinox (SAB, actually) sold it under this name, "Boy Scout Huntsman".

Actually I am done. My collection (what little it is) is finished. I'm happy about it. It's a meager one but that's what I like. If and when I ever get the chest finished I'll post it up.

The latest Pioneer USA Special Run.  The previous one had really nice colored scales, but this one has scales that are more appropriate for a USA commemorative.

Had a question from another member about enlarged Anglers with pliers and scissors. There are two of them that I know of: Waterman, 9 blades with corkscrew (no known number)(top); and Master Fisherman, 10 blades with phillips and hook (#1.4753.72)(bottom). Didn't deploy the awl on either photo; tension was too great and I didn't was to risk breaking a spring.

There was also a question about an unknown model. Not sure if this is it. Hoffritz Limited Edition, with 10 blades, including pliers and magnifying glass. Numbered ****/2000.

Excellent! Thank you very much for posting, Karl. The Waterman looks to be late 1980s, and the Master Fisherman early 1990s? Can't tell if the scissors have a screw or rivet (looks to be a screw) or if the Phillips is slotted or not.

Very similar, but not quite. The one I got recently from Europe is basically a SwissChamp minus saw & fish scaler. Never seen one before, so might be a mod (Haven't taken the scales off). I'm calling it a "Modeler Deluxe" for lack of a better name. This Hoffritz, BTW, is absolutely one of my favorite knives.  :tu:

I recall reading somewhere (probably from one of Karl's posts) that "Waterman" was the name printed on the box. I have the slightly newer version of this same knife (mid 90s, hook, solid corkscrew, etc) NIB. The name on the box mine came in is, unimaginatively, "Angler with Pliers". I like "Waterman" better.
