SHIN GODZILLA  2016 release. Godzilla Minus One was pretty good and this one is too. I'm a big Godzilla fan .

From Rotten Tomatoes -
Something has surfaced in Tokyo Bay. As the Prime Minister of Japan pleads with the public to remain calm, a horrific creature of tremendous size makes landfall in the city, leaving death and destruction in its wake. Then it evolves.

I tried watching it with dubbed English. I quickly went back to Japanese with English subtitles.

Appaloosa  2008.  Appaloosa is a town plagued by a gang of thugs.  Town hires two town tamers.  It was pretty good.  A western of course.  Best wishes.  G

Rambo III - John visits Afghanistan to rescue his mentor from Russians.     Good action film raising awareness of the plight of Afghans under Russia’s invasion.

2019 - Angel has Fallen - Morgan Freeman is president, protected by Secret Service,   Bad guys and a HERO.

Did not feel I wasted my time. Action entertainment!!!

The MEG 2018 and MEG 2022?

Watched different nights.

The first movie was more interesting to me, and could see it occurring.

The 2nd was definitely a jump the shark type of venture.  To much,  3 megs, bad guys too, and many more innocent victims just being swallowed.   And, then these new predators with no explanation how they found their way from trench to Fun Island before the big guys.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Saw a couple of good movies yesterday.  The Star Packer 1934 with John Wayne.  He's a U.S. Marshal who captures an outlaw gang that killed a sheriff. 10/10.

Yojimbo 1961 with Toshiro Mifune.  He's a wondering Samurai who finds a village controlled by two corrupt families and he plays them against each other. 10/10

The Thing  1951.  Or The Thing from Another World.  Later movies are loosely based on this one.  I saw it before, but had forgotten most of it.  This is the one with James Arness as a critter.  A fun drive-in sort of movie.  Not too long.  Best wishes.  G

Yes, Yojimbo was the inspiration for A Fistful of Dollars, and also Bruce Willis' 1996 gangster era film, Last Man Standing.

The Quiet Place 2018, never seen before, alien(?) creatures take over the earth(?),  they are blind, but hunt by sound… so you make noice you are dead…
There are three more follow-ups to checkout.

This film followed only one family’s experience, sad !  Not much dialogue.

One advantage of having a kid who works at the movie theater,, when they have something you REALLY WANT, he’ll get it for you! Needless to say the Mrs really likes all movies to do with Ed and Lorraine Warren, and when she saw this popcorn tin she went nuts, needless to say it’s on my dresser now
