I hope you feel better soon Surge.

Day 29
The Wissahickon Critter and Victorinox Spirit are an awesome combination!  I haven't found anything I needed a knife or multitool for this month that couldn't be done with these two tools. :D

Very interesting challenge  :salute: I once again realize that I rarely if ever use a fixed blade  I plan to continue using a sheath for my MT, a phone case on my belt and a clipped watch though :salute:

the propellant in these "CLP's" always runs out before the liquid,so i punch holes in the cans and use up the remainder.
Surge and 300 always makes short work of this.

Day 30
Congratulations to all the participants of this month's challenge it has been great fun to try something different and the photos have been exceptional.  For the last month, if I've been dressed I've been carrying all of this stuff on my belt.

The Duluth Warehouseman's pouch contained my phone, a 111mm SAK, a Sharpie and a pen.  It has proven to be a convenient means to carry the phone and other bits with one exception.  The exception being that I had to switch out my regular 2 piece pen for a clicky pen because when I grabbed for the 2 piece pen the top would come off and the rest of the pen would stay lodged in the snug compartment of the pouch.  I did not have this same problem with the Sharpie because the inner pen tube ( there's 3) is a little wider to accommodate Sharpies or thicker pens.  I may continue to use this pouch.

The Wissahickon Critter fixed blade knife.  I've tried carrying fixed blade knives before and haven't found one that performed well or carried comfortably for the whole month.  The closest I've come before has been the CRKT Hunt'N Fisch, the same model knife that Poncho carried this month.  The horizontal sheath of the CRKT solved the problems of a flapping sheath hitting my leg and of getting poked in my side fat when sitting, but I found the handle of my CRKT a bit slippery.  Then Nix sent me the Critter.  The Batman challenge finally gave me an excuse to wear and use this knife for a whole month.  The knife cuts like you wouldn't believe and has outperformed my expectations.  The sheath which was made by Nix turned out to sit perfectly for my height.  With the knife positioned at 5 o'clock on my belt I could put the bottom of the sheath in my back pocket so there was no flapping or hooking on the furniture and the handle never poked me when sitting, standing or walking.  I honestly couldn't even tell it was there until I needed it and I think that is exactly what you want if you're going to carry a fixie.  So far, this knife is the leading contender for my EDC fixed blade knife.

The Victorinox Spirit has been my go to multitool for a couple of years now and everyone knows about them so I don't need to tell everyone anything else.  The odd thing was the pouch.  I chose to carry my Spirit in a SOG pouch because I like the SOG pouch better than the Victorinox pouch.  It has a clip instead of a loop so it was convenient to put it on or take it off of my belt, and repositioning while dressed did not require removing the belt.  I had some adjustments over where to put it and which side of a belt loop to carry it and finally decided it needed to be behind the belt loop and just forward of the fixed blade knife.  So that put it at the 4 o'clock position on my belt.  I feel this was just right to not snag on furniture, or hit door frames and such, which are typical reasons why I don't usually care for anything being on my belt.  Admittedly, I am a bit clumsy so if I did manage hit a door frame or something the Spirit in the SOG pouch would bear the impact and protect the fixed blade knife right behind it.  I don't remember which SOG tool came with this pouch, but it was perfect for the Spirit.  Depending on my poker hand in next months challenge I may continue to use the SOG pouch for whatever knife or tool I end up carrying and after that I may or may not return to pocket carry.

The bottom line is this month has taught me that belt carry is not as bad as I always thought it was.  I could still get in and out of cars and fit in most chairs.  I started the challenge also carrying my flashlight in a belt pouch but that was too uncomfortable and constantly poking me in my side fat, so I went back to pocket carry after less than a week.  Once the challenges are done I may go back to pocket carrying everything, but if circumstances ever dictate that belt pouches would be the better option I know I can still carry everything comfortably.  In some cases, with the pouches, I have had even easier access to my phone and other items when seated than with my usual pocket carry, so there are advantages that can not be ignored.

I had a great time in the challenge and wished I could have spent more time writing about it but my job has been different lately (same company just different types of jobs than masonry lately) and I have not had as much free time :salute:

Congratulations everyone, been a really interesting challenge to follow, great work. If you do it again in the southern hemisphere’s winter I’d be tempted to join.

After EDC in DEC I needed to go lighter so the 111 challenge has been a good alternative, if not exactly minimal  that was November

I've got a friend here who's had it twice already.  The good news is that for most otherwise healthy people it's no worse than a cold. I hope you feel better soon. Do what the doctors tell you, and stay hydrated!
