Second breakfast! You mean I'm not the only one that does that?

DAY 20

I had to pack up a shotgun for warranty work this morning. The S52 scissors worked pretty...okay for cutting tape. Afterwards I was recruited to help a neighbor look for a wounded deer. So a picture of what went along on the hike. I like to carry the k38 in case I see an extra dumb grouse for dinner. The rain started about 30 minutes too soon so I was soaked by the time I made it home. Time to sit down and relax.

Day 19 (Wing Challenge Day):

GADad threw out a wing challenge and I accepted....

Rangergrip had no trouble trimming off the wing tips. I thought I took a shot of the 'post-trimming' action, but apparently all I actually captured was the scene before the work got done:

(Image removed from quote.)

However, I did get a shot of the finished wings:

(Image removed from quote.)

I grilled the wings outside, then dressed 'em once done. My sauce was a head-exploding variation of the classic Buffalo Hot Wings sauce: butter, Crystal Hot sauce, Rubin's XXXX hot sauce, Tabasco sauce, chipotle chile powder, black pepper, garlic powder, a touch of honey, and a big pinch of salt. Oh, a small splash of apple cider vinegar to keep it tart.

I figured it would be best with some classic blue cheese dip. Made this with loads of blue cheese.

I have to say that the sauce was much hotter than I expected. After eating about half the wings, I was sweating like a marathon runner and my nose was running like a sprinter. I was really glad to have that blue cheese dip to cool things off between wings.

Might have to make some more, soon......

Very nice presentation Bud!! Bet they were marvelous!!! I purchased my wengs today with intention to cook them this weekend.

I agree with AppleAndrew, nice pen collection there, Maxdog - is that a Pelikan cabinet too? We’re both pen fans too….. yet another exPENsive hobby!
Quote from: Maxdog

Rizio Il Ghiro, it is a generic cabinet a came across a few years ago large enough to house most of my pens, my other passion.  Yes indeed, it can get expensive!   :iagree: :like:

How can I do a multiquote?

Nice collection growing there!  I know everyone loves Huntsman, but as a big supporter of metal file/saw, I would really recommend folks to give Mountainer a try as well.  A metal file/saw may able to do what a woodsaw does in a pinch, but never the other way around.

Comis, I do like the metal file/saw on my Swiss Champ, in fact used it to smooth out a spear I whittled.  Yes perhaps a Mountaineer would be a complementary addition to the S17 and Huntsman.  The Ranger looks appealing too with scissors, wood saw, and metal file/saw.

Day 20
I opened a package containing my monthly shipment of non-prescription medications.  Then I removed the safety seal on a bottle. The Swiss Sportsman is so dull it struggled to cut the tape on the box.  Tomorrow I will give it a touch up.

I don’t know anything about guns, but I do like the watch I think I see!  And the whisky, too!

I was thinking about your hunting photos this morning, I drove by a pair of deer 🦌 right next to the road. They stated right at me, I actually braked because they looked like they were going to run in front of me. Luckily they turned around!

Nice pen collection Max! Something else I know nothing about, but I can appreciate a good collection

Not much happening right now - waiting for a video call an hour and a half from now.

Testing out an iPad camera while the phone is charging.  The orientation might be wonky on this one.

Great looking collection Max

It’s easier to do the multi quote using the website in a browser rather than Tapatalk (if that’s what you’re using), just scroll down from your post and you’ll see INSERT QUOTE
