Day 13

Needed to repair a distribution cable.
It has a switch which was damaged/stuck because our 2yo played with it (in fact he stood on it....  :dunno:.

There were 8 screws on the back, 4 of them were regular philips screws, the others were saftety/oneway screws like this https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/uvcAAOSwwBtcudWa/$_57.JPG?set_id=8800005007

No chance for the Tinker, had to switch to my cybertool and use the flathead bit.
Pressing hard and turning gently I removed them.
The switch was just stuck.

I replaced the screws with regular philips screws and now its good to go again.

Day 12
Tried out the Spirit chisel tool for making some fatwood shavings

Absolutely my favorite use for the chisel tools, two hands down.  To me, Spirit is probably my best companion for anything outdoor, even the shinny surface could double as a signal mirror.

Day 12 (Gummy Bear Round):

Out for tea in the woods with the Juice.

Indeed they are!
Davidoff is in the coffee business? I liked their cigarettes...their pipe tobacco, not so much.

Day 12

More friends were made. The half hawk must have a charming personality. :D

What's that miniature fixed blade in the middle?  Looks like it could be from RR?

Thanks for the kind words, y'awl! :hatsoff:

The CRKT Eat'n Tool XL.
I have an Eat'n Tool, but haven't put it to the test. Seems more than capable of doing its intended job, though.

It is indeed RR: their miniature Spanish notch Bowie. The little thing has full tang construction and bone handles, and is sharp enough to shave hair off my arm.

My challenge photo will come later in the day...

Not risking much is a good policy, generally speaking.

Day 13

Some hot sauce had to be unboxed, which is an important use. According to Bluegrass, opening a new bag of cat food with the sheepsfoot blade is a better use.

Agree.  The Spirit is such an awesome tool for outdoors or urban.

I would really love to see Victorinox add the chisel tool or similar to a SAK line.

I don't think Bluegrass would like the transatlantic journey, and I haven't yet tried that particular hot sauce. But I may well be able to get you one of the RRs someday.

I don’t think Fisher would appreciate having to share his castle with a cat.
Fisher is perfectly happy being the only pet, eh?

Alan, good start! :tu:  A Pair of 8, the spade and club means to start the second half with a Fixie and Trads/Folder.

Almost!  My heart skip a beat when I saw this train...and the current pair of 5 is not bad either, yielding a Fixie and Trads/Folder combo to begin with.  Alan's hand in lead for now...

Day 13

I always say you can't say you've carried a pocket knife until you slice an apple with it. I was a little worried that the thicker blade on the TL-29 would be awkward, but that nice belly sliced through no problem.

Excited to see my new hand. Thanks Comis!

High card Ace of club, will start the second half with Trads/Folder.  But we do have a good shot for getting a Flush on Day 21...
Alan K's hand still reign.

Wow...almost a Straight right out of the gate! :o  But now the Ace of Spade will be our high card, and we will start the second half with a Fixie.

A pair of 4, the diamond and spade will yield us a SAK and a Fixie to start with.  That 4, 5, 6 looks promising...or maybe a two pairs?    Alan K. still have the best hand for now.

Nice!  A pair of Jack is now the best hand thus far!  The spade and diamond will give us a Fixie and SAK to start with.
