Day 15
Here at the beginning of week 3 I've drawn a fixed blade knife and a trad / folder, so I decided to carry the Case Stockman I got from Sos and a Schrade 152OT that I picked up recently.  I considered carrying my Izula II but I figured we'll be seeing plenty of the Izula II from Farmer and I really hope he enjoys it.

The Scharpfinger looks handy  :tu:

Day 15

Back home, and carrying the Mora Eldris. Added the ball chain since I wasn't super comfortable dangling 540 cord around my neck like that, and using the lanyard it came from as a wrist strap.

No uses (spent most of the day in the car). Never carried a fixie for any length of time before, so interested to see how this goes.

Smart move, if there is one thing I don't like about neck knife is to dangle it with a 550 paracord with no break-away.

Congrats on the Eklipse, I got the small and large XM but never fully warm up to it.  I can never fully comprehend why the aggressive jimping right under the flipper, and thought the ZT562 makes a better XM than the real thing.
But both Eklipse and Jurassic seem to be improvement over the XM series, and probably will serve their users better. :tu:

Little guy wanted to cut the tag himself, and I was surprised to watch him operating that scissors, even never use a MT in the past.

Day 16

Getting my apple slice in early this week. Tried doing it "pocket knife" style and found it pretty unwieldy. Did fine on the cutting board.

Day 16.

Fixed day again.
Had another doctors appointment because of ear issues still around.
Good book I always wanted to read, but not much to do for the blade at this point.

Did miss the small gadgets that make my edc worthy on other days. The convenience of reaching for a toothpick, awl, scissors, openers...

Will for sure try to improve my carry on day 21.

Day 16
Although I remain somewhat concerned about Brother Nix having apparently been left unsupervised, I still managed to get outside and take a picture while there was still some daylight.   I had no use or requirement for the Case 63087 or the Schrade 152OT today other than the pure enjoyment of carrying them.

Defrosted my mini fridge. A super soaker would have been more fun, but a cola bottle worked nicely.

Nice haul! :tu:

I've done okay carrying small SAKs on a neck lanyard with no break-away. But for the Izula II, I used a cord lock. I'll probably switch to a different connector; the loose ends of the cord sometimes annoy me.

Getting my apple slice in early this week. Tried doing it "pocket knife" style and found it pretty unwieldy.
With a blocky handle and a short blade, I can see that. But your newly acquired Opinel ought to excel at "pocket knife style" apple slicing.

I had no use or requirement for the Case 63087 or the Schrade 152OT today other than the pure enjoyment of carrying them.
That 63087 sure is pretty! :like:

Day 16

The Izula II got to open and break down a box. Yes, that is the condition in which the box was received. Bad FedEx! :twak:

Agree.  I had gotten an XM used before and didn’t love it either, but figured I would give the Eklipse a shot.  I do like it better than the XM, but I don’t see it displacing my favorites.

Now for the bad news - the Eklipse is gone.  It must have fell out of my pocket, when I fell while hiking earlier.  Needless to say I was a little distracted and did not notice right away.

So now the question comes, do I get to choose a replacement knife (seeing how it was my only tool/knife) or do I have to wait.

That's terrible. At least it was not your favourite.
Any chance you can go back to the spot you fell? Maybe have a look around for it? You never know.

Sorry to hear you've lost the Eklipse!   I hope you weren't hurt in the fall.  Now that it's daylight you might be able to find it if you go back for a look.
