I'm not running this challenge, but that sounds good enough to me.  Looking forward to seeing some of your father's knives.  Someone will make it official, I am sure.  Best wishes.  Gary

Very cool HARM will look forward to seeing them :tu:

Please join. I don't have 30 knives made in the USA, only a few. Post what you have daily and just change where the pictures are taken so it keeps things fresh.  :tu:
Bring it on!  :woohoo:

Day 1:
Sfarziglia:

This traditional and somewhat infamous knife is made to order by L'Artigiano Scarperia. They do pretty ok traditional designs for their price point methinks. You'll be seeing a couple more of their work as the challenge continues.

As can be seen this is really a dueling knife for traditional Italian style. Length and balance are perfect for that, at 60 cm it can also work as a baton if need be. In modern day and age it really can't be carried on a daily basis and no real use case exists either. Thank God for that ;)

RP, hope this post finds you well and speedy recovery!

Been looking forward to the challenge, this month I will be carrying and posting knives and tools made in China.  Some are collabs from well known brands/designer we are all familiar with, some are solely created in China.

Two Sun TS221.  Two Sun is a new brand up and coming in China for last couple of years.  Some of their designs are kinda outlandish, but there are many good ones that comes with good design elements and great pricing.  This particular modern slip joint does catch my eyes, with milled Ti handle, nice fluted FFG blade and it's overall minimalistic appeal.

Day 1
USA

I wanted to start out my first day of this Country of Origin challenge with a knife that holds a very special place with me.

Circa 1983. I was in metals shop class looking for a fun project when I spotted a discarded large (15" or so) and very heavy metal-saw blade. The idea occurred to me it would make a perfect knife.

After getting the OK from my shop teacher (Thank you Mr. T.), I sketched out a design and began cutting and grinding...and grinding and cutting. Wow, this was some seriously hardened steel!

The style evolved over the course of a few weeks until I finally settled on the 6.75" boot knife you see.

I hadn't planned on the "Made in the USA" logo to be up-front and prominent, but I couldn't have said it better myself.

Someone should post a list of rules to follow for this challenge before it begins.

This Challenge will run for 30 days.
Pick a country of origin for the tools or tools you will edc. You may rotate tools as desired as long as they come from the country you picked.
For each day, post a picture of the tool you are carrying. If you are carrying a different tool, feel free to share why you like it, how it came into your possession etc.
At the end of the challenge you will be able to request a badge specially made for this challenge. :D

TwoSun seems like a good brand, I've seen many reviews on their knives on YouTube. They have so many models, too! :tu:

This is the first knife you made? It looks fantastic! Almost 7 inches? I would have assumed it's shorter. Nice!

Wow! Impressive! I've seen a similar Caneças model, about 50cm blade. That's the great thing about these challenges, the new knives you get to discover. Thanks for sharing it!
