Day 13 of 30:
Used the cuticle pusher to stuff the liner back down into my little boys' cast. Worked perfectly.

Day 13

As my MC and I were dissecting the rest of the Amazon packaging, we were pondering how many gorillas it took to pack the item and how many to launch it across my lawn to have it land at my front door.  At least I was able to reinsert the nozzle so I can actually use it.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Day 14
My computer is working very slowly this morning.  It has been groping around in a dark cellar of the internet somewhere.  Running into hanging cobwebs and stumbling over black cats.  Digitally speaking of course.  Let's see if I can post a photo.
Perspective makes a big difference in photos, right?  The transmission fluid bottle is actually bigger than my hand.  The blade looks so tiny.  Well, that part is right.  MiniChamp.
I turned off the cap and yes, there was a seal.  I tried to peel it with my fingers.  Didn't work so well.  Then a novel thought came to my scheming mind.  I have a itty-bitty knife in my pocket.  Yeah.  Funny how that worked out.
I will admit that the Mini can be a little awkward when you have big fingers that are a little on the stiff order.  Awkward maybe, but it did the do that had to be done.  So far the Mini has done all the doing.  Didn't help with bolts the other day, but no other SAK would have been any good either.  That was a job for pliers and my 6 inch Crescent wrench.  Plus my battered Stanley screwdriver for prying.
Will I keep carrying the MiniChamp instead of a full size SAK after the challenge is over?  We will see.  Best wishes.  G

Good uses and pics, peoples.   :tu:

an unexpected visitor  :D

Praying mantises (praying manti?) are awesome creatures.  Insects in general are pretty amazing.  Super complex, self-reproducing, autonomous, adaptive machines.  The engineering that went into insects, down to the quantum level, boggles the mind.

how many gorillas it took to pack the item and how many to launch it across my lawn to have it land at my front door.

I watch our security cams while I work from home.  I frequently see Amazon employees slinging packages across the porch.  I wish that the feedback section allowed for grumpy commentary about that.

  :ahhh

Will I keep carrying the Mini Champ instead of a full size SAK after the challenge is over?  We will see.

In non-Challenge times, I carry a 58mm in addition to a full size SAK, mostly for the micro phillips.   :salute:

Day 14

I too have an apple a day.  I like to use an apple corer, but not this month.   :salute:

I had almost forgotten about the Chuck Yeager memorial challenge, coming up next month.  Pulled Patch out from his spot and am using my MC to help prep him for December.

I've been thinking about installing cameras at home, just haven't done enough research.  I don't want anything that needs to save to the cloud or have to connect to a cloud service before allowing you to save on a local drive.

Day 14
Used the Midnite MiniChamp to get a good view at the reading of the electric meter.
When I sent this MiniChamp in for repair I asked if they'd replace the red light with white and they did!  The newer versions are very bright.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

I love the white led, it gives plenty of light! Halfway through the challenge, I cannot help but think that the Midnite manager may be all I will ever need in a 58 mm SAK..
