Nothing happening in my corner of this rock today.  Decided that my fingernails needed a little work.  The MiniChamp handled the job perfectly.

Day 25

Decorating for Christmas always seems to involve a SAK in some manner. Here I am using the ruler/flat head screwdriver to change the fuses in a string of lights.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Mrs Marlowe also got in on the action using the Phillips to change the batteries in a toy to keep our 4 year old son busy while the decorating was going on.

Day 25

As we are nearing the end of this challenge, I have to say that while the Minichamp was enough SAK for me this month (except when changing my car's headlight, but since this wasn't an emergency, I had access to my toolbox and would have used dedicated screwdrivers anyway), this might also be due to the fact that I just didn't get around much. Today, the only task where I needed a.cutting tool was once again an unpacking job. I am afraid it was just a pretty boring and uninspired month both for me and the MiniChamp.

MCNTR DAY 25

used the ruler to measure the width of a sample container so as to find the right size label for it. i've been experimenting with making some natural skin care products and have finally come up with something very promising.  :ahhh

The ruler was not quite long enough to make the measurement however.  But good enough :tu:

Day 26
MiniChamp outside.  Just hanging out.  Usual fingernail fixing and futzing.  No real knifeology.  No whittling toy boats.  No fish filleting.  Not even potato chip bag opening.  No cuticles were pushed.  Still... I didn't have to use any other knife.  For any reason.  MiniChamp was equal to all the non-tasks it was called for.  Or maybe not called for?  Best wishes.  G

Peoples, tell us how the Mini Champ has not worked for you - if at all.

What other tools/toys have you needed? Over the course of this Grand Championship Glorious Challenge, I do not recall having really needed anything other than the Mini Champ.  That has not stopped me from carrying other items like an Explorer Plus, Swisstool Spirit and Opinel.  For me, the Mini Champ would fall short - if at all - if I needed to really get some torque on a phillips or flat screw.  But that hasn't happened so far.

In terms of righteous daily living, the Mini Champ has done everything I have needed so far this month.

I have been very strict in keeping to the letter and spirit of the rules.......and surprised myself how often the MC manages everything I need.......sometimes the scissors could do with a little more grunt, but they suffice, the screwdriver may elicit a few more Anglo-Saxon terms, but as the purpose of these challenges is to see how far you can go, I am pleasantly surprised that not turning to a Handyman or a Swiss Champ or Farmer X etc has shown what a stunner the little MC is :tu:

I did like friend Stoer has done.  No other multi or SAK.  The Mini has done everything so far that I would have done with my usual carry.
I have used pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches during this month.  I have used outdoor grounds keeping tools.  All not within Mini capability.  Also not within SAK capability.  When regular tools are available, I always use them.  When I don't have anything at hand, then the SAK (or Mini) is a consideration.  Best wishes.  G

I have been pretty fortunate. I think the tally is up to 36 now. Unfortunately, I was not able to add a new mark this season.

I found out about these Pocket Survival Tools this month.  I may start carrying it starting Dec. 1st.  Just not sure if I need pliers, seems I've done well so far without needing them.  :dunno:
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.
