Hello for my day 18 pic.
Another from the collection.
The third type of box I have for the Micra .
The older coloured boxes were much nicer than the new black& yellow ones.

Day 20

I like the Micras with the extra shell. It covers the massive gap that the tweezers leave on regular Micras. And they look cool, too! :like:

A new CASE arrived last night !
Is it a 4138?

Used the Philips driver to take out the screws for the grate.
The 2D Phillips works surprisingly well!

:iagree: on awl counts.

More great stuff, y'awl!

Day 20

I decided to harvest some circuit boards.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Of course, the smurfs used four different lengths of screws to hold the set together. :twak:

In this photo, the small screwdriver tip is pointing to a length of very fine cord that ties the tuning knob to the pot on the circuit board.

This is awl that remains of the Bell and Howell set. If I ever decide to learn how to solder, I have something to destroy practice on.

Now that this is posted, I can get to "pet janitorial services" and folding laundry.

Is it a  4138?

Why, YES it is! With ORANGE covers an impulse buy!

Next up a 3138 in CS and Yellow or Red synthetic !🧐

Amazon and next day delivery is a spoiler…

Actually the orange came from Shepard Hill via Amazon😎
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 20

My MICRA has been missing in action through out the morning.  Searched the family room, kitchen, and the car!

Started to think it fell out of my pocket last night at dinner.  If so it would long gone…🙄

Then, returned to turning pant pockets inside out! 😵‍💫 And it hit me! 🤪.   LAUNDRY DAY!  Wait for wash cycle to end… a long,  long. T W E N T Y  m I n u t  e s,  did I say I waited?  20 minutes,  I did wait.

Not there either 😢

It is lost… ❤️‍🩹 I do not  loose my tools, misplace but I do not loose, except a couple bullet pens , well awl most never!!!

Shirts hung up to air dry, shorts and unmrntionables and socks to the drier.

Birds need food, on way to feeders I see my chair cushion was left outside over night,  dripping  wet, moved to the porch swing and from under the cushion my MICRA, dripping wet!!!! And still dirty.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Now air drying ,,, tools fanned out waiting for the sun come around the back.   It is a good day!

DAY 20

We are almost there..... only 10 days to go, and well done everyone so far for such a brilliant Micra photo album from so many...

So today, crazy busy again, work and sick child....not a good mix....also sorting the ducks out which are huge now... pictures will follow....

...so on the duck theme, the Micra has been helping to line there indoor home while their feathers come through...the blade is surprisingly good.

Day 20

Today was the first time I had to go against the challenge tool. It is probably the first time ever.

I got a package with a new belt to keep my pants up.  as my belly is going outward my pants are going downward.  Cutting the tape on the box was easy enough. The trouble was, this style of belt needs to be cut to size. So I ended up needing the blade on my Pioneer X to do the job in one swipe to keep the edge even.

Hope it got a little oiling after its misadventure. Good thing you found it!

 Maybe some guinea pig photos, too?

As my belly is going outward my pants are going downward.
I have the opposite problem: I have (unintentionally) lost so much weight over the past six to twelve months that I've dropped two waist sizes.

Needed some red alox scales for projects.
I'd love a Rally with Alox scales. Just sayin.'

More great stuff from awl! :tu:

Day 20 Bonus

I thought about posting the below photo tomorrow, but decided to do a bonus for today. A piece of insolent Brylane  Home catalog was sacrificed in the interest of edge testing. The Micra couldn't have awl the fun, though. :D

I’m away from my computer this week, so here’s my first mobile post  :ahhh   I can’t carry my Micra without getting it confiscated, so it’s hanging out in my hotel room ordering room service.

DAY 21

Getting ready for a family caravan long weekend holiday, plus managing the home  build.....and ill child...poor thing

I have been using the Micra for a lot of small tasks today, but my photo is of the comparison between the SAK contender of the Micra...the mini champ....

If I had to choose I would stick to the Micra....nice to have that confirmation

I hope it didn't max out your credit card! Sorry, I had to.

Carrying these two golden oldies now.
How old are they?

Put the Micra to rest for another day...
I'm really liking that light blue! :tu:

Ill child...
Hopefully the little one is better by the time you read this.

More great stuff from awl!

Day 21

Yet another radio set.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I'm sure some of y'awl are thinking "what the smurf is up with this guy and his radio sets?" Well, I'm in the process of downsizing, de-cluttering, and simplifying. The radio set seen here will hopefully soon be gone, so I had to pop the back off to access the battery compartment.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The set is in proper working order. The gentleman who has first dibs may pass on it. He's not the type to take something he wouldn't have a need or want for just because it's free. If he passes, no big deal; off to eBay it'll go.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

This set was considered a "shirt pocket portable" back in the early 1960s.

Over the weekend I  picked up two zippos for $10! Brought them to work today to clean them up.  I used the micra flat screwdriver to open up the flint holder(?), to clean it out.  They are in great shape.
