@FarmerX , my Micra pictured yesterday, my only one, is dated 07/99 in both handles.

The Crunch, definitely NOT my only one, is an 03/21 and 08/20 youngster.

DAY 22

Got up early to finish wiring my solar system to the new 8KW inverter, and getting it linked to the consumer unit...the Micra helped to cut and strip wiring....all done and a cloudy day....oh well

Another glamour shot.

Plenty of pocket time, but not much use.

Expecting more action later in the day as delivery notice was received in email. 😉
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Opening the blade is much more fiddly than with a SAK.
:iagree: Maybe we'll see a Micra with outside opening tools one day?

I used the micra flat screwdriver to open up the flint holder(?), to clean it out.
I always called it the flint tube.

Day 22
That is one itty-bitty ratchet! :like:

Another glamour shot.
Nine points right off the bat! :tu:

Another great day, y'awl!

Day 22

I managed to lock myself out of the house yesterday (don't ask). The Micra's screwdrivers were used in a failed bid to gain re-entry. Fortunately, they didn't get tweaked.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The cap lifter is the only tool I haven't used yet. That should be rectified shortly.

I had to employ drastic measures to gain re-entry. Again, don't ask.

Day 22

I actually needed my travel emergency kit this trip - I used both my universal charge cable and my iFixit jimmy. The Micra is not part of the kit, but maybe I should add one.

Day 22

Cutting a blister pack of cold medicine in half to store the unused part for next time (without risking accidentally popping a new dose open by tearing at the perforation)

I don’t suppose we will.

The Style CS had scissors and an outside opening blade.   It’s been discontinued.

They claim that they follow the market, and that it was discontinued because of low sales and lack of popularity. I will admit that between the Style CS amd Micra, I chose the Micra after much consideration back and forth… proving their point.

I thought that the form factor of the closed Micra was cleaner and safer. I also gave it extra points because it had more tools than the Style CS.

In hindsight,  I should have gone for the Style CS. I did end up snagging one before they got discontinued. I just haven’t added it to my rotation because the Micra hasn’t failed me yet (as a backup to a larger knife)

I pair the MICRA with my STYLE PS, small pliers, no knife!

Both fit is a pill bottle and rides in checked bag if flying!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 23

A luvly 73F at high noon here today.  Enjoying the slight breeze, and an apple snack.   The CASE handled slicing as the Micra was not large enough to cleanly slice.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The pick/file remains the most used implement on my lil tool. 😉

I usually cut small bite-sized wedges from one side of the apple, through the core, across to the other side.  Smaller blades are fine with this method

Yes, if I want to subject myself to additional pain.  Can have difficulty properly grasping the MICRA  to cut as the Arthritis and nerve damage I have , no longer permits a safe grip.

Do not get old!😎

A very important task!

Little Baby Brother with Big brother which I have been carrying this week for a change.
The Micra is absolutely dwarved by the Surge!

Dicing boiled chicken breast for a dog with a dodgy tummy.

I'm being admitted to hospital today.
I hope both Crunchie's pup and RP are feeling much better now.

More great stuff, y'awl!

Day 23

The best tool for breaking the seal on nicotine pouch cans is one's thumbnail. Second best? The tip of a Micra's file.

This was the last of the single cans of spearmint. But y'awl need not worry about me...ten more cans arrived today.

Hello day 22
I bought a new blue tooth headset as the current radio in the Landy does not do bluetooth.
Have to drive handsfree as I do not wish to donate MT buying funds to PC Plod.
The Micra helps open the charging port cover as the fingers are a bit  fat for that fiddly stuff.
