2024 Legendary PST Challenge
Day 2 of 30

Heading out for breakfast, hauling trash and a trip to the fleamarket. These should cover any situation that may pop up.

Handsome (and capable!) combo  :like:

Day 2

As part of the Minichamp challenge, I’m trying to get that little thing to hold its own.  The PST is backup as I already have this badge.

I had to pop down and flip a breaker. I wondered if I could open the box if all I had was the MC.  Maybe! The ruler flat head is maybe strong enough in an emergency. It would be better to just have a full size SAK or MT.  In fact, the PST even had trouble because I last tightened these bolts with the Electrician flat head and torqued a little harder than I would have with the PST flat head.

Nice pic, Grand Banana! :like: :tu:  :tu:

I have used the end of the cuticle
pusher blade on the Minichamp
as a screwdriver for slotted
screws.

I don’t use the small flat heads for much, mostly removing electrical outlet covers and sometimes toy screws.

I find the small driver very useful for certain push-in electrical connections.

Day 2 of 30

Well after a great day of carry the PST 1.5, I decided that I wanted the change the suspension clip out to something a bit better for me  :D

I noticed someone mention that they would miss OHO blades and pocket clips this month and it got me to thinking

I have done this challenge more than a few times with regular and modded PSTs so I wanted a bit more out of this one :ahhh

So..... I added a pocket clip and a OHO Blade :woohoo:

Here is the updated PST 1.5 :D

I will show the rest of the toolset later this week for those who haven't seen it or have forgotten about it

Day 2

Used my BO PST to open the box containing the new Christmas tree and to help replace a couple of non-functioning bulbs:

Also used it to help me reach the pull string for the attic stairs.

And here is a glamour pic:

Day 2

I forgot to get an action picture but the small screwdriver helped remove an old O-ring when I was winterizing my pressure washer.

The Beetle analogy is a good one. I had a '67, and massively regret letting it slip away, even though the '67 is chock-full of one-year-only parts. And I awlso use the fine screwdriver on my ST300s to remove O-rings. You just have to be careful not to stab yourself.

Y'awl are doing superbly (it's hard to keep up), and happy to see Adam jump in! :2tu:

Day 2

I planned on a can opening photo for today, but I couldn't resist the lure of discounted Halloween candy.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Unfortunately, the clod who attempted to sharpen the blade with a grinder really smurfed it up. It didn't cut the bag too well, and it sure is ugly. :twak: (Though I wouldn't give him a twak to the head.)

Perhaps this photo will show the blade better. Otherwise, a close-up may be taken.

 Day 2 of 30

Today used blade to open few letters and used it to slice apple. Also needed bit loosen screws on tools side since tools were bit too stiff to open nicely.

Love the '67 Dan!  I had a friend who had a couple and I almost bought a 67 Bus a long time ago.  12 volts sure made a difference!  My '66 was a 6 volt system.
Great seeing that JPST in action!

Day 2

Used the can opener to open a few cans of caramel to make caramel apples today. Here they are post dunk before the decorating by my wife and daughter. I was in charge of stirring the caramel and chocolate for dipping, my artistic skills for decorating were evidently not needed.

That’s one way to do it! What’s the added blade from?  :like:

It is an Irwin Vise Grip tool that was sold several years back  I had added a link to a thread where Sam (awesome modder here on MTO) had done the very same thing a few years back :salute: I just copied him :D

Thought I had added a link to the thread several pages ago  I hadn't   here it is

Surprisingly well :tu: I may grind on the one end to match the profile of the PST handle but I may not  :dunno: :D
