Most definitely in. I am traveling internationally the first 4 days of the month and so might get a late start. Will check local laws and if no issues carrying, I should be able to post. This will be fun!

Welcome to the cast! :salute:

Welcome to the new season cast, guys! :D :salute:

This is only a few days away now. If anyone is thinking about it, there is still time. The more people the more fun the challenge will be. And if you don't join us now, when will this challenge happen again?  :pok:

As for what gear, that's simple and pretty forgiving.
SAK: Victorinox or Wenger, any size, and color, any condition.
Tape: any type of adhesive tape, any configuration, any color.
MacGyver MT: pretty much any, except models that were recalled, and models that violate Country or State laws, like one-handed, auto, gravity, double edged, etc.
Mullets: Optional and encouraged. I guess the Gerber Mullet qualifies as well.

Awesome selection, Reamer. :like: Especially the kit in the bottom picture. :o I like how you spun the tape around some type of loop, so it can fit on the carabiner. Great idea. :tu:

That's rolled around a lollipop stick, then an eyelet screw attached to it. I might put one on the duck tape roll too.

Sounds like you might have to do a little homework.  Fear not.  It won't be painful.  The 1985 series is the iconic original.  See some seasons on Pluto.  Free.  The later (2016?) series I didn't like.  I couldn't sit through a single episode without gagging.  There could be some good episodes and I just tried to watch a couple of bad ones.  Those are on Tubi from time to time.  There are some short snippets on You tube.  That might be enough to get you up to speed.  I know you are busy.  There used to be episodes on archive.org, but I think they were either removed or maybe I just can't find stuff anymore.
Angus MacGyver is the ultimate in getting out of tight spots by improvising something from materials on hand.  I watched the original series as it appeared on TV.  That was long ago, so I don't remember specifics of any program.  I went back and watched several of the episodes.  I wasn't a MacGyver fan boy.  I watched it largely because I could only get two channels on TV and programs were limited.  No cable here.  Best wishes.  Gary

Only a couple more days.  I added a small thing of duck tape and paperclip to my pocket pouch today, so I will have everything on me even in the rare occasion I don’t have my bag.

This is gonna be fun! I've already gone overboard.
I've got a SAK, paperclip, and tape on my keys, and in my wallet, and in my bag, and in my toiletries/misc pouch also in my bag. Is this a challenge or a zombie apocalypse? :ahhh

I have followed this thread from its early stages.

Understand about the Duct Tape and paper clip, but confused on the SAK :dunno:

Should the selected tool be a TINKER or SPARTAN?  Or any SAK by Victorinox be utilized?

I was , over some of mine. Will admit the CLIMBER is a favorite, also a small TINKER, then I have a RANGER, and a  FIELDMASTER.   And, a couple EVO models a 10 and 14 that are on opposing end tables for handiness 🙄

I think you can use any Vic or Wenger SAK.  I’m going to try to only use ones in the show. I only have a 91mm Tinker, Spartan although it’s serrated, and Executive from the earlier seasons.  He uses an Explorer later.  I’ll see how far I get with just a Tinker to start.

I started watching episode 1, and he's keen on book matches.  His SAK also appears to be perfectly balanced for throwing.
