 Day 15

I found a paperclip today. Does that get me anything?

At work I used the Champ’s scissors to trim some plastic and the big screwdriver tip to lever up some plastic strips and paper tags in some channels.

Surprisingly I needed the found paperclip later to clip some papers.  :)

Climber helping me snip open the gravy for dinner and dice up some leftover corned beef. Might be starting to see what some of the fuss about scissors is 😁

Day 16

I think AI-zebub finally gave up tempting me with bikini photos of famous females.  The foul entity tossed one more my way as a parting shot.  I don't even remember her name.  If she came to my house, I wouldn't have bothered hiding behind a locked door and barking like a mean dog.  This one would have gotten IMR standing on the front lawn throwing rocks routine.
Now all I get are questions about whether or not having a million dollars on retirement will be enough or not.  My new Dollar Tree can opener blew up on a can of Hunt's traditional pasta sauce yestiddy.  I cooked rotini, but decided to make it bean-free.
Weed whacker wouldn't crank, so I pull the sparkle plug and scrubbed it with some sandpaper.  It was in abominable condition.  Cracked insulator.  I didn't have a better spare, so I put it back in.  And it cranked.  I cut some dandelions and straggles around the house.  I tried to buy a new sparky at the auto parts joint by the post office, but they were out of stock.  Attempted to give me a substitute of some sort.  I was feeling stubborn and didn't buy anything.
Might be the last day for carrying my Tourist.  I don't really like the idea of carrying a non-red cellidor MacGyver knife, but I might anyway.  Best wishes.  G

Day 16

Woke this morning to BLUE skies, warmer temps it appears and notification my Amazon package was delivered at 7:26 AM 😎

Yesterday, I looked at a new 63 XL ink package i acquired the day prior because my printer was missing lines. Ink was not out yet print was unreadable and not consistent.  Almost $95🥺

So I checked Amazon, found a normal size 63 black black only cartridge for 24.89.  I ordered, and was advised it would arrive next day.  😎.  A cheaper test than opening the duo  :woohoo: day or two ago.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

A SILVER TECH model to boot !

Forgiveness over permission!  The new SPARTAN will stay.

Plus, the new cartridge, confirmed my suspicions, my previous cartridge was bad!

So a good day became great,  AWL to early, so I think I will just hunker down and not take any more chances. 😜

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Hi Steele,
I think the Recruit is hard to beat for a daily carry.  I had a couple of them, but they got away from me.  No backtools makes for a comfortable user, and you can't even tell it is in your pocket.  Good job on your photos.  Best wishes.  G
 :hatsoff:

Thanks IMR!  The Recruit is a great carry.  I grind off the keyring tab as well to make it even more comfortable.

DAY 16

An alox farmer x today....the soldier is my go-to for camping or car edc, but I love the alox farmer and farmer x tools.

Thinking ahead of hikes and go-to kits, when you are in an emergency, I have paired the farmer x and survive gso 2.7, with a Ferro rod as a pack carry kit.

Quite nice set I think...MacGyver would be proud.. :salute:

Hi Gra,
If you aren't doing anything next month, you could join in on the Keychain multi-tool challenge.  Our friend Barry Rowland is hosting it, and friend ReamerPunch is signed up so there will likely be a new badge.  Not too many signed up yet, but that could change as time grows nearer.  I know you are pretty busy with things.  Could be fun.  Best wishes (as always)  Gary

Apologies guys, for going AWOL these past few days, spondylosis acted up and hit hard. Fortunately,it's been months [i can't really recall when i last had a bad run like this],i had the usual symptoms, spasms in my traps and neck, headaches, just limping through each day.
i will attempt to catch up.

Day 10
my son was helping out a friend with his Sig P365 X,and they wanted to cold blue the slide optic cut [ i don't know why that wasn't touched up]. i needed to snip off the 1 end of the cotton bud.
i was touching up a few knives on the Sharpmaker at the time  :D

That is interesting and tempting, however, I am already signed up for the Greenie Meanie Challenge.  Even though I do have a green Gerber Dime, two simultaneous challenges might be too much.
