Day 21 - catch up

Opened up a a tin of corned hash for breakfast.  Two fried eggs made a delicious accompaniment.   :D

The Cadet opened a well-earned beer after mowing the lawn after work.

I have a few pork steaks on the BBQ for the family.

Day 23 (late)

I might be wrong, but it feels to me like they have improved the cut on these files since the last time I got a SAK that had one. Seems a little sharper and more aggressive. I would still prefer the old stippled file, though.

Very true!

Excellent tool set, I used to think of it as the “Leatherman Swiss Champ”. But these days I find it too much of a big heavy lump to pocket carry, and I don’t like to put things on my belt. So it stays in the drawer.

Came outside to get the lawn mower up and running, but first things first.

I was just thinking about getting my mower ready, but became distracted.

Have you seen this brand?

I hear you!  Use to carry what was necessary in my pockets.

Now, during fall, winter and spring coat or vest pockets are my solution.

Summer, I lighten things up, and a waist pack and a CROSSBODY tote serve me well.

A older LANDS END SOFT SIDED, brief is a larger alternative, especially when I have meetings I must attend.  One legal pad to give the impression I mean business and more toys than I need 😏

I saw it, once, on the eBay.

Then it was gone...  I'm fairly sure that I have a celidor MiniChamp that would love a new look.

The one pictured is a TINKER 91mm. Also, I liked it do well, I went to eBay and grabbed a CLASSIC version. 😉

The tinker was going fast on auction site, so went to the retailer’s web site, gather two others, qualified for free shipping. Ended up being more reasonable the the auction site, plus they confirmed inventory that night and shipped likely before auction site purchases.

They also had a Kentucky Derby tribute model. Imagine combined several models for purchasing the lot.

Day 24

I have grown very fond of the Cadet during this challenge. My usual daily carry is a Pioneer, and I have missed the awl a few times this month, but not as much as I thought I would. The Cadet provides a lot of utility in such a slim and lightweight package. It will definitely be in my pocket more often after this challenge is done.

It really is LC, I was kinda “where’s this been all my life “

The fruit looks a bit like a cross between a lychee and a passionfruit, tastes a bit like mango/passionfruit/lychee mixed…..apparently it’s banned in all the hotels because the juice stains anything it touches and doesn’t wash out

I went out yesterday to spray some weeds that were growing in the entrance to our cart shed.  I'd left some stuff in my old sprayer since last year ( I know, big no-no) and the valve deformed.  I ordered one from the Home Depot and it was delivered this morning.

Day 26

The can opener is perfectly suited for battery changes. I could have used the nail file too... I am so used to carry a Pioneer without a nail file, that I normally go for the can opener without a second thought.
