Not sure which model this is. It is the same as a newer handyman.

(Image removed from quote.)

Sorry but this looks like a fake to me. What does the tang stamp say?

It says wenger delemont switzerland stainless
It is genuine, just an older model. There is a forum thread here that shows several older Wenger models that look similar to yours.

I have tried that can opener before. That old style can opener is DANGEROUS so be careful. The proper way to use it is to stab the tip straight down into the can and "lever" it against the can edge into the "v" area and push down on the knife to cut the lid and move it as you go. I found it could easily slip out of the can and you could cut yourself also on the rough can edge.

The "not quite right" aspects of that knife are okay. It appears to be of similar age to my old girl. Dog-leg can opener, spring scissors (Vic spring in mine), cut rather than etched nail-file (mine is broken) and shape of tools all look the same. Apart from 40 years of use and abuse.

and of course I have to post the "restored and retired" pic as well.  I made the Aiuminium scales after the originals got broken/lost over 20 years ago.

The past month has been rather expensive. Some of the results showed up today from Switzerland (thanks again Martin), France, and Canada. Now if I could just get the orders in from Holland, Denmark, and Italy I'd be in good shape (until I go on another spending spree ).

- SwissEvos

- Copper Cadet Plus with red shield; and Wenger Soldier with no shield

- Classics including marron (brown) alox and bleufonce (dark blue/grey) alox

Actually I'm not sure what is in this package, it's a big box 16"x10"x6", but I like it already.  I like getting interesting stamps.

Good man. :salute:  If you can get some pics showing just how you go about using it that would be fantastic. :tu:

The older style opener you have to lever the opener upwards, it leaves a nasty edge. Frustrating, ugly, slow and the potential of being cut is high. The second pic is of a newer opener

Here's a site with the winners of the Victorinox Fashion contest.

http://victorinox.jovoto.com/ideas?filterby=prizes&size=big&sortby=rating

Also go into Google Images and type in 'Victorinox Jovoto' for a lot of other entries. I think a lot of the runner-ups look better than the winners (everyone's a critic).

A nice 75mm Pen knife with the name Zwicky in a nickel silver metal inlay on the front plastic scale.(I was hoping its MOP but unfortunately its not) Its stamped Elinox on the front and VSSR on the back.

According to Wikipedia Fritz Zwicky was a famous Swiss astronomer and The Zwicky museum is in Glarus Switzerland, he died in 1974

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

Awesome work, Syph.

I just ordered a Swisslite from Felinevet, my primary SAK enabler. I assume it's the older red LED. I'll pick up a newer white LED version of some 58mm tool later for light output comparison.

A lot of very nice stuff there. I'm particularly fond of one of the runner-ups - Adventure -using old maps.
