I own an iPad2 and a Nexus7.The iPad2 pretty much collects dust. I never really fell for the Apple philosophy of doing things. It totally pisses me off that I can't just plug it into my laptop and copy files cover to it, like movies and books. The only it gets used now is for magazine subscriptions that won't transfer over to the Nexus7.I love the Nexus7. Combined with an OTG cable, the sky is the limit. The size fits in the back pocket of my jeans, unlike the huge and heavy iPad. I can have all of the apps that I already have on my Samsung Galaxy S3. Truth be told, the Nexus7 has almost totally replaced my laptop. --sent via carrier pigeon from my secret hideout'Buzz

Whatcha got?I bought a 5 inch Samsung tablet 'bout a month ago. I looks like a big phone so bringing it to work is not a problem. Battery life is awesome on it. I get about 3 days of constant playtime before it needs a charge..words with friends, drawsomething, downloads and netflix/crackle.
My wife has an iPad Mini and to be honest, I think that it is a fine machine, but unless you have a Mac computer it's pretty much a standalone unit as it flat out refuses to communicate with anything that doesn't have the decency to be Apple. I couldn't transfer files to it from my Android or a PC via Bluetooth, which is odd when you think about it, because Bluetooth is supposed to be a unifying protocol. Also, it's odd to have a standalone unit when it's best feature is it's seamless integration with other (Apple) units. It is a very nice doodad, but not for me. I love my Nexus, which has a slightly smaller screen size (7" vs 7.9") but apparently it has a (slightly) higher resolution than the Mini (1,024x768 vs the Nexus' 1,280 x 800) although to be honest, I really doubt anyone would notice the difference. With taxes the Nexus 7 was also almost $200 cheaper than the Mini (both 32gb versions) and I got to use all of the same software I already purchased for my phone. All in all I am very pleased with my Nexus 7 so far, even though I am on my second one- the first was taken back to the store after it refused to charge the battery.Def
How is internet use on the Nexus? Safari on the iPad was fine, except for emoticons and youtube and...
Oh yeah, and that issue of not being able to watch a YouTube video posted here or on Facebook doesn't seem ton work any better on tyje Nexus than it does on the iPad.To be honest, I see very little actual difference between the functionality of the iPad (at least my wife's Mini) and the Nexus. If your regular computer is a Mac then stick with the iPad, but otherwise get a Nexus. If the iPad mini would at least accept Bluetooth file transfers I would give it more credit though. Its a notice machine but just not worth an extra $150 or so dollars.DefSent from my Nexus 7 digital multitool
I installed Firefox on my nexus, mainly because I use the Firefox sync to keep all my bookmarks on all my different devices, both FF and chrome work great.
