Day 18 (the real Day 18)

I got no shot because i didn't have enough hands or time but I used the can opener to remove the back from a fluke multimeter. My awl was used to again modify my coffee lid.

FX Day 19:

Adventure Boy seemed to have a bit of a limp. Closer examination revealed that a mat had formed on the bottom of his hind paw, in between the toes and heel (if dogs have 'heels'...). Poor guy!  This is the second time I've had to clip a mat out of one of his paws. In both cases, Vic scissors proved to be the ideal tool.   :tu:

Day 19.

Lazy for the most part when it comes to knife usage. A bit foodprep, thats it.

Now sitting on the couch, looking at maps, making plans for summer outings in the Alps.  :ahhh

So a quick glamour shot for today.

DAY 19

My disc lock has been playing up for a while now so, as it's a few years old (and used daily in all weathers) I thought the simplest/cheapest option was new batteries. It takes 6 LR44 types and it cost me £12 for 8

I needed to use another tool to unlock the battery compartment and then the FX opened the cover and removed the batteries  :tu:

I then realised that it was also more than a bit grubby  :-[ I'll clean it (properly) and lube it over the weekend*  ;)

I'll leave that last comment there for "you know who" to lower the tone  ::)

Interesting. All UK Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) is done online so no "disc" is displayed. However, it doesn't cover insurance or any other legal requirements  :dunno:

Day 20

Residents of Sydney and the north coast of NSW have been advised to stay inside today, we’re expecting 200mm (8 inches) of rain. Been absolutely pouring down since yesterday with more forecast in the coming days, unfortunately a lot of flooding too

Day  19

Trial run. I had to buy proper India ink. All I had was cartridge pen inks!

I haven't drawn anything with a Swiss Army Knife dipped in India ink in years, and back then it was with the small blade on a Huntsman or Climber or something. The large blade takes some getting used to. Next time I'll do pencils first so I can get something less janky out of it.

End: Day 19

Day 19

Not a lot of use today, so here is the FX as part of my EDC

(Image removed from quote.)
Did you modify that pen? It looks identical to mine, and I had to assemble it from two Zebra pens.
