Always great to get a tool in the mail that arrives in better shape than expected  8) :like: :like:

Also what is that mod you are speaking of

Sam Lim modded a Core by replacing the plier head with a Klein hydrid plier multi tool head:
https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,81352.0.html

I could try that. It looks like it would be handy for me to use at work. But, I would lose the needle nose of the typical MT I carry, and it really could not replace my linesman pliers.

So, I am think of trying to pair a long nose heavy duty wire stripper with the Core. That would cover more needs for me. J-sews once grafted a cable cutter onto a SOG:
https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,9765.0.html

That is the sort of thing I would have to do. But that sort of modding is at the deep end of the pool. I don't know if I will ever attempt it. But I do keep thing about it.

Ah yes, I had forgotten that Sam did that mod :ahhh I read so much on here over the years it is hard to remember it all sometimes and a good jog of the memory is good for me :D :tu: I hope it all works out for you if you end up going through with that mod :salute: :like:

Powernoodle Day 1

Starting off with a B.O. ST 300.  After carrying the Leatherman Bond for several days, the ST300 feels like a Big Momma.  Fortunately, there is a nice vertical pocket on the 5.11 Taclite Pro pants I wear everyday, which is perfect for even a beefy MT.

Day 1 of 30

This ST200 was my first Supertool, so I'm carrying it on day one.  I bought this one from member ducktapehero back in 2008.  The date codes are 10/01.

Does anyone know why the plier pivot was reduced in size at some point?  My ST pivot is noticeably larger than any of my ST200s.
