DAY 12

Good carries people  :tu:

Today I made Asian style chicken burgers with toasted ciabatta rolls (here's a before and after shot)
Mrs Surge likes Kimchi & Mayo on her burgers :surrender:(I just do extra hot chilli sauce  :viking:)

No pics of mine (too hungry )

Not those kind of pics.  :twak:   This is why we can't have nice things.   When I heat up leftover chili tomorrow, I'll take a pic.

Seriously thought you were referring to those kinds of pics from the beginning.   I mean, these days... Expect the unexpected... Or the unwanted

I always like the varieties and customization of burgers in the UK. In the US you can sometimes get away with skipping the tomato. But chicken? That'll get you thrown out in the street.

Kimchi stands up to a beef burger quite nicely and goes well with it. I ate one of those at work about 5 years ago... Once... I literally got thrown out of the lunch room.

DAY 13  Having been chastised for my lack of appropriate pics, I now submit pics so that I can be suitably chastised for having beans in chili, cheese on chili, or any other egregious chili sins.  :ahhh    :D  So without further ado, here's the proof.   :woohoo:  Oh, yeah, and one of the Signal cutting cornbread

This is a situation where a combo edge comes in handy. The chisel grind within the serrations bites in and cuts the smooth plastic zip tie without it slipping out.

I got it on a whim and I'm really happy with it. Being able to open it with one hand has been a great advantage. I've been doing all sorts of small things with it all day - quick things that are barely worth mentioning. Today I nicked the peel of an orange and lifted off the paper off the back of the packaging of a little button battery for my kitchen scale. Normally that annoying little task results in the sharp corner of the plastic going under my nail bed or cuticle  >:(
I don't bother using my SAK for most of these things any more (honestly, the suspension clip and stiff backspring on my Pioneer X are the culprit).  So this has been a fun tool to have.
I'm expecting to carry it after the challenge.  :tu:

Not a fan of Kimchi myself (too much garlic  :surrender:) but Mrs Surge, being a continental, loves garlic stuff  ::)

TBF I really do like a chicken burger (usually breast, not minced) with cheese, bacon & lots of chilli sauce   :dd:

Is this the right room for an argument?  I think that in the US we would consider a chicken sandwich to have a chicken breast, but a burger would have to be made with a minced patty.  But you won't get any pushback from me. I'm all for variety!

You could be right there  (either way chicken burgers are good )

However, given that McDonald's sell "plant burgers" I would suggest there are bigger issues to be dealt with  :ahhh
