Day 12

Opened a bottle for my son (I let him choose the opener)
And used the ranger to cut and Bic to melt some nylon lines. Pens to trace some lines on leather

I'm so behind  :ahhh

Day 10

The Christmas shopping has started to arrive so the Avo went to work!

Day 11

Food opening, used the Leatherman tweezers I keep in my minichamp and the minitool got to work liberating more presents:

Day 12

Same old today, so just a glamour shot of the mini tech tool, I love the size and wood scales  :tu:

Day 13

I almost lost my pen when it dropped through my pocket down my pant leg.
Turns out I had poked a hole because I tend to put my pen and phone in the left pocket, and I guess the phone pushed the pen through. So out comes the sewing kit! :)

Excellent use!

I once found myself in work with a split right down the inside my trouser leg, large enough to park a bus in  :ahhh

After I found myself in the toilet cubicle stapling my pants together I added a bunch of safety pins to the zipper pull of my work bag

 sorry to laugh at your misfortune and have to say very very inventive of you, I always like a safety pin or two on me somewhere for same reason. Found the zip replacement doodads you can get on eBay very useful too

When I was in work (shakes fist at the pandemic) I would do about 6-8k steps in an 8 hour shift and this tear happened with like two hours left. The staples did well enough, but I found myself also eyeing a bag of zipties and my Skeletool as a backup plan

Was a learning moment though! When funds are more available I want to build out my repair kit, my Sugru has expired and needs to be replaced, but a little altoids tin filled with stuff like that will reconstruct just about any pair of pants  :ahhh

It is not as good as the Spirit’s combo tool or a knife, but it can get the job done and saves the dulling of the blade.

Day 12

Quiet day today, but used the Rambler to open a couple more Christmas gifts.
(Image removed from quote.)
I remember this one.  I am sure using it from time to time make the memory ever fonder.

Day 13
Today once more I've realized why a Phillips driver is handy to have...

...no no, not because of that!
For extracting batteries of course.

The Spirit's Phillips was too big this time so I had to get out the Swisscard for help.
The smallest Phillips was just right, and I was surprised how secure it grabbed the screw  :2tu:

I then had a try with the file tip of the Executive on the second screw, and it also worked well. But the grip on the screw was not as good.

Either way, job done...

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob
