Not that I needed any reminding how much I like the 110 & 112, this challenge has really cemented that. So on top of getting the orange slim 112 recently I also got a 110LT

I immediately decided I preferred the thicker scales of the LT over the slim, although I’m very happy with the slim having said that, so set out to get a 112LT, harder than I thought it’d be unfortunately

Eventually tracked one down from a local supplier, ordered it and then promptly had my money refunded, damn it, they’d run out

Had another look around yesterday and hopefully have found a place in Tasmania so have ordered it. Fingers crossed they’re not out of stock too :dunno:

Day 23: not much went on--I cleaned up after yesterday's rearrangement and mowed the yard.

I also moved my photo area for diecast over this morning after packing away the useless paperweight that is my Epson Workforce WF-3820 printer. I'm really beginning to miss that cheap $30 HP all-in-one that had awful print quality but was so stupidly simple, nothing ever messed up. The Epson has had tons of firmware-related issues. Every update seems to be "not for this model" and it's always corrupted.

I used the Signature's scalpel of a pen blade to remove the tape holding on a piece of blank printer paper I used as a backdrop. Should not have used Gorilla Clear Repair tape on crudely varnished wood. I decided that the small, thin blade of the Signature wouldn't risk cutting into the wood.

Adventure Girl, today, out on a short hike in the hills.

Indeed she is. You are lucky to have each other!

As usual, great photos from awl! :tu:

Day 23

Junk mail disposal begins with opening (if necessary) and shredding. The Slim Ranger did well with opening, but shredding is best done with a machine.

DAY 24  All the TV weather man talked about this morning was the hurricane that will hit FL next Tuesday/Wednesday, which left me at the mercy of automated forecasts.  The weakness of Wunderground and others is that they use models to give a prediction, but apparently they cannot account for what is on actual radar.  Hence, "light rain" this morning was almost 2" in one hour.

The Ranger looks good in wet sand.

Day 24

Big news!  Been commuting between hospital and home for the last couple of days, Mrs. had delivered a new baby girl to the family and we are getting ready to go home pretty soon.  :D

Day 23:

Ranger opened up a fresh batch of "Snack Sticks". These are locally made, cooked, sausage links that I've been using, sliced up into small pieces, for training treats for Adventure Girl, aka Tiglet, aka Wonder Puppy. Unfortunately, the trainer also like to eat them.......,

Congrats on the new P4.  I think the new magnetic opening tech is pretty groundbreaking, and finally all the tools can be accessible from the outside like a Spirit.  My only wish is they could have done a better job with a few tool implements, such as the awl and the metal file/saw.  But in short, I think this for sure will go down LM history as a classic, since I foresee this will start ushering LM into a whole new era of chassis.

CONGRATULATIONS! 🎊 🎈

Have you given her a name?

A little girl, a daughter, will change your life forever.  (I have two, now mothers themselves) They now watch over me like their mother did!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Hey wait a minute.  I didn't even know there was a sub-challenge to the Ranger challenge. You should have told us sooner so the rest of us would have had time to prepare.  Congratulations Buddy! I hope mother and baby are doing well.

Package opening today!  I used the 112 slim pro while the 112 slim stood by, in case I needed backup.  The package contained the Bradford Guardian 3.5 I ordered for the October EDC fixed blade challenge!

I have been told on more than one occasion, Bourbon and Whiskey are not same thing.

I remember someone suggesting that the Rangers might be being babied (not the comis type of babying) during this challenge.  So to prove otherwise I thought I’d see how it did with battening so pieces of wood.
