DAY 3

Used my phone to pinpoint my location to send to recovery after getting a flat on the bike (on my way home tonight)

I then waited for 90mins in the freezing cold for said recovery (at least it wasn't raining  :dunno:

I should point out that I wasn't at the hotel, just passing when it all went off (off the wheel rim that is  )

Apologies for the subsequent late post  :D

Oh, that's annoying. Sorry to hear  :-\
Last time I've had that the missus took an hour to find me... a 10 minutes drive away  ::)
Ok, it was dark, and on Irish country side back roads she doesn't know...

Anyways, did you miss anything in your EDC you'd like to have at that moment?  :dunno:

Day 3

Used the Handyman‘s pliers to replace a sanding drum on a Dremel tool.
(Image removed from quote.)

Also used the pliers to loosen and tighten the lock nut. No idea where that darn wrench is
(Image removed from quote.)

Also this happened today. Was using the backside screwdriver to tighten some hardware of closet folding doors. It was a tight area, so the can opener wasn‘t an option. I should have gotten a ratchet, but wasn‘t in the mood to walk all the way to the basement for just one screw. After all, that is why I carry a MT. Quick fixes for everyday repairs.

It is hard to see in the picture, but the tip of the screwdriver is twisted. Guess it is light duty only  :D I was able to twist it back to its original shape, but it has some scars now.

(Image removed from quote.)

Great uses Sir  :tu:
The thing with having a good grip and level is... tools can bent. You've had a small 2.5mm flat driver on a big T handle there.

I've managed to bend a bottle opener screwdriver in 90° position for the same reason  :dunno:

In terms of quoting multiple posts in a reply, it is pretty much the same thing as quoting your first post.  Once you finish replying to the first post in your own reply box, make a new line, then just press 'quote' on another post, and the forum will quote the 2nd post for you.  Just keep on repeating the process, you will be able to multi-quote in your reply.

Thanks, Chi. Didn't knew about this feature. I usually just quote a post and reply, then quote another and copy/paste it into the first quoted, deleting the second reply.

I'm such a noob...

I´ve yet to figure out how to quote two posts in one reply, so here I come again.

Thanks, pfrsantos!  :hatsoff:yes, I made it ssome three years ago and still going strong! It was made to fit my wrist and has only worn more comfortable over time.

I had a quiet day so the pic for today will be of my wallet which I used to pay at the grocery store and which -you guessed!- I also made. :D

Here, take a look at this section. I think you'll fit right in (to paraphrase her). If you'd like to share some of your creations, you'd be most welcome.

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/board,64.0.html

As for this design, it's a small pouch for coins and a slot for cards/cash, right? What's that big metal button for? Just for aesthetic reasons? The small split ring isn't part of the wallet, is it?

  :tu:

Edit: took another look at the big button. It's got a hole, right? You could use it to arttach a chain.

Thanks Sos & comis :tu:
Reckon it was built in the 60's, TBH it's the kind that normally gets torn down and a modern skyscraper replaces it but talk about location, location, location eh
I should note that's the owner's office  :gimme: my normal view is very different but as I'm the only one there until the new year....
Can't imagine how expensive that would be sold for nowadays, maybe it is so expensive that is not profitable to most developer?  Nonetheless, it's a great view, enjoy while you can! :tu: (hardly can imagine how beautiful that would be during the fireworks :pok: )

Day 4

Been kinda busy today but did manage to play the cards a little bit just for fun sake.  Took this picture just before shower, after returning from outside.  I quite like this little gift box for food, which I repurposed as a EDC organizing storage.  I could load each of my cargo pants pocket based on drawer quickly from this box.

You are correct of course. What surprised me though is that I basically had no warning that the tool would bent. It was fine one second, and bent the next.

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Thanks. It was a not fun  ::)

As for missing anything, no not really (for last night anyway) There's nothing that I could have done (even with my bike at home) I lack the tools and skill to do anything with this sort of issue.

I've called out a mobile tyre replacement service and that's going to cost me £190  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Just what I need before Xmas (lucky I all the presents for Mrs Surge  :2tu: :mn: )

DAY 4
Mrs Surge decided that we need a lot of lights this Xmas as we will be together  :twak: (She can't travel to Italy and I'm working Xmas day  ::)
So, the FX helped to remove battery covers so that I could put nearly 20 AA types in various sets of lights  :surrender:
Just noticed accidental bonus shot (out of focus) on my watch on the shelf unit, to the right  :dunno:
