day 26

I should really thank Aloha again for this one. it has been a very reliable companion for a few years now

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

MTO Anniversary Challenge
Day 25 of 30

Adding a little micarta to the carry today.

I see you have a Tater Skin also  :like:

Having returned to the compound I got out my Multiforce mod in case I needed to do some repairs.
Thankfully all we had was wet ground.

I knew that you were thinking about doing this mod, but I missed that you actually did it  :like:

DAY 26

Having survived ELE I was advised that the recently installed canopy/awning needed adjustment, lest the hair of Mrs Surge become damp  :twak:

I duly removed the end caps and tightened said bolts (not loose) whilst admitting I had done things wrong  ::)

Day 25

I wasn't able to get my box of electrickery yesterday so I'm posting late.

Besides having a bugout bag in our SUV, and taking my portable backup drive with us, below are the sentimental items I would take with me.

My Kershaw Antelope as it reminds me of the times dad and I would go hunting.  Below that is my wife's grandpa's Western States pocket knife that I've been made the caretaker of.  Below that is the Winchester pocket knife that my wife's grandpa gifted to me.  Lastly my first SAK, a Tinker.

(Image removed from quote.)

Like the Western States  :tu:

Day 25

If I think about the mini challenge in terms what I would least like to be without, I think it would be these three items (plus a GEC Bull Nose):

If I think about it in terms of what I don't want to lose, it would my rolling tool chest that houses almost all of my pocket knives and multi tools:

I would be rolling that sucker down the street to evade the fire

Day 26

My patches came in today:

Day 26 Bonus Pic

While going through all of my stuff, I realized I have more one-piece tools than I thought.  Here is a small sample.  You enablers made me go PocketWrench crazy - I have 6, 2 still in the original packaging   I also have 5 Shards, and I only remember buying 2

(Image removed from quote.)
great collection I have a couple of shards and a mullet. I remember the pocket wrench from years ago but must of lost it as have been searching for it for a week. Are they still available do you know? I had a quick search but just brought up US eBay

Thank you  :hatsoff:  I just kept my eye on ebay for awhile and purchased the few that popped up.  I couldn't find them anywhere else.

We're actually at camp today...
Wish I could say the same.

Due to city regulations, a fixed blade knife isn't part of my in-car arsenal. That said, it's a crucial tool I'd grab in a real emergency.
:iagree:

My first SwssCard and a green Spartan.
:like:

NC knife laws are unbelievably vague and open to abuse in interpretation.
There's certainly room for improvement in NC, but on the other side of the coin, it could be a lot worse.

I bought this red Pioneer to get some bad ass pocket wear...
I think it looks just fine the way it is! :tu:

While going through all of my stuff, I realized I have more one-piece tools than I thought.
That's more than enough to earn you the OPT Collector badge!

I would be rolling that sucker down the street to evade the fire
You and me both!

Yet another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 26

This wasn't the Leatherman I intended to grab. But I'm not complaining.

This Huntsman lives at the camper. It's there just in case I somehow make it to camp with no SAK in my pocket. Not very likely.

Day 27: I'll be on the road all day tomorrow so I'm going to post now.  This knife, the SOG Prohen, is one of my favorites, but I think I'm about it's only fan.  It's a phenomenal knife for the money.

11:55ish so I have a few minutes left, but I'm on the road, I got nothing...

Minichamp and snack cakes??

Day 26:
I ordered a DIY multitool sheath kit from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and it finally came in. I sewed it together today. It was pretty simple. Had to use my new Rebar to pull the needle a few times when it was tight. I've got it and an Olight I3R 2 EOS in it forming while it dries. Should come in handy during our move!

Day 27

Ganzo tools are ocular, but I don't think people like them all that much when they have them. I dont see people carrying any, at least not here. They're heavy, have short tools, one end is very wide so they don't fit in Maxpedition pouches easily. But I like mine. It's nicely made. It's thin compared to most off-brand tools. It accepts the bit driver. Not my favorite tool hut not all that bad.

Day 27

Some things I love, but nobody else does (as much).

The Free P4 seems to be having a bit of moment in the spotlight due to an Amazon sale last week, but I’ve loved it since I got my first one. A real under-rated classic in my eyes, and one of my most carried tools.

The Raptor has a cult following amongst some parts of the medical and emergency services community, but is overlooked for general carry, hobby use, and gardening, as well as for keeping in a vehicle in case of emergency.
